We were on direct debit until he moved back with no job ran up bills Mum was unable to pay and the energy company forced us back onto key meters. It took me nearly 2 years to get off the key meters in the first place.
To be honest I want to move out but I know if I do my Mum will be forced onto the streets. So I am stuck here unhappy0 -

Thanks both of you, I shouldn't complain really. I shall not be increasing my rent but I shall pay an extra £5 a month onto the electric for my tank. Beanie she can't its in her rent clause that she can't sub rent, family dosen't count. If she passed I would be homeless anyways because I am not on the tenancy agreement.
So been playing with figures again tonight, May can't come quick enough. I am just awaiting my current insurer's renewal quote so I can tell them to stick it :rotfl: I want to be debt free before France (Aug) but obviously I will need items for France, mainly clothes.
However I have my MOT in August too (while I am away) So do I throw everything at my CC or do I save a pot alongside to cover the MOT. The only problem I can forsee is that the car fails to a point beyond economical repair and I am then left carless which means the income from France will be used for a new carI would love to get another year out of this car because I can then build up about £2-3k maybe more for a new car.
So 100% CC or 60% CC and 40% savings?

Hi Pap I would go 60/40 you need a saving safety net and that can only be built gradually.0

Thanks Toots, thats my plan I think. If the MOT is really low I will throw anything remaining to the CC. I think it will be £225 CC and £75 saves although final figure is yet to be decided.
So payday and I have overspent! However once I describe you might not be so mad at me!
£212.28 in account (rubbish pay this week)
£75 car ins
£73 bills
£22.83 paypal (my OCC splurge!)
£10.00 rent (this low as I lent mum £20 the other week and gave her £10 yeasterday)
£10.00 ikea
=£31.45
Now that £31.45 has to pay for two meals while out with work tomorrow, petrol and £2 on ebay (I shall explain). So I am going to see what tomorrow brings, I am only planning on putting max £15 in the car to make it through to Friday. If need be I will have to 'borrow' money from my bills and attempt to pay it back. If need be Mum has said I can miss my rent on the 5th as I also have to pay the min on my CC.
The reason I 'overspent' in ikea and I am about to spend £3 on ebay is because I have moved upstairsWhen we took this house I took the box room even though I wanted the middle room (so I went from a room the size of two doubles to a box room) because of this I had to sacrifice my computer and it ended up living downstairs on the dining table. Well after thinking about it I think this is part of my problem, I can't get away from anyone unless I go to sleep. So after thinking about it all night and decideing if it was possible I have moved upsatirs. It cost £10 for a desk (Mum payed for a chair found in the clearance area) and I am now upstairs :j I need to spend £3 on a new ethernet which is much longer and can be tacked against the skirting board.
So thats that! Prob shouldn't have done it but I am glad I can escape now. Just need to see how long I can survive without noise (ie the tv) in the background. Maybe it will do me some good!
Have a great Friday/weekend all

Thanks Beanie, I think that people live in my pockets too much and I don't socialise (alone, outside of the house) at all now so I kept feeling hemmed in. Tonight has been good and for once I don't feel as if I am clock watching and waiting to go to bed/come up to read. I shall let you know how it goes...
Anyways £1.94 for a 20metre ethenet cable. Thats me skint for the week :rotfl:
