Beanie, thankyou for the compliments. So glad I didn't purchase one now
Sparkles, how strange, they are certainly different
[STRIKE]* Making a new shoe rack [/STRIKE]
* Finish the bathroom (tiling mainly)
* Paint my remaining gnome
* Finish croqueting my blanket (test for an xmas gift) - Getting there, decided I will certainly use this technique for the xmas gift, if not the hexagon pattern
[STRIKE]* Water change on the fish tanks[/STRIKE]
* Attempt to make a recycled bag (as seen on Ilona's blog) - Have made paper beads instead :rotfl: I have made them before so thought I would make some using leaflets and some quilling supplies, these will be strung up (need to purchase some elastic) and made into bracelets for OCC.
Thought I would also show you my new avatar... Changed from a dog to a cat, I saw this image and couldn't stop smiling :rotfl:

Maybe not! I found these on offer in Argos, so have reserved 6 for shoe boxes. I am hoping I can pick off the banner and then they will be perfect for the boys too. I have also found a ebay seller that seems to be selling off hawkin stock as they have been given them to sell for a charity. So I have won/bid on £48 approx worth of stock for £15 + p&p fingers crossed I win the last set. Some of those are tens too so that will do for this year and next! Sorry I couldn't pass up either*Goes and hides*
I am just upset that the 99p playdoh (3 pots and cutters) are sold out in all the Argos' around my area

You have a heart of gold Pap.
I don't believe that BeanieIts just something close to my heart and I don't think I would ever be able to give it up, even if I could only do 1 box a year. I don't drink/smoke/eat takeaways/gamble etc I am quite good with my money so I class this as my little vice. Maybe I should be giving closer to home too but I am planning that once the loan has gone
Mum needs to go into town on Friday so I am going to bumble along and try and get some empty shoe boxes now :rotfl:

Small 50p spends today for the Mirror paper, they have a £5 off voucher for Aldi. As we are running low on everything I thought we could go there and stock up (on tins/crackers/bis etc) so we will certainly spend the £40 (£35 after discount). Its a bigger discount than we would have got from Mum's work and also she will be less tempted buy other stuff :rotfl:
I thought I would ask something... I have been having a look online at shared room rates. Now a double room is £300pcm all in and singles £200pcm, excludes food, which seem perfectly reasonable. However at present (if talking 30/31 days in a month) my brother pays £200pcm for a huge double (more like a double plus my room) and I pay £193.10 (excuse the odds but thats the two insurances').
So I was coming here to ask if I should increase my rent? The reason being is Mum seems forever to be short every month (its not her overspending its teh cost of things) the electric seems to need toping up a lot and there is hardly any food in the house.
Any opinions?

Personally PAP I think you should maybe all sit down and look at how much is going out on all housing costs each month and each pay a third - does that seem fair? Just by my thinking it would encourage all of you to keep energy, water and food bills as low as possible.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
Mortgage balance: £36,210
Money making challenge £38/400

SS I would love to do it like that but things are complicated. With things like I pay for my own internet through a seperate service provider so should I then be 'forced' to pay 1/3 of the virgin bill when I don't have a box in my room (brother does), I don't use the virgin internet (brother does) and I don't watch tv (I have had it off all day due to the fact the electric is about to go off).
So what happens then?0
