  • :rotfl: Your post did make me giggle. I was really happy to see you on my diary. It's lovely to catch up with people I haven't 'talked' to for ages.

You sound chirpier today. Financial stuff looking good. Glad you're managing to keep everything in check. Good luck with the interview thing. I haven't had one of those, in fact didn't even know they existed! I'd probably fail. :rotfl:

  • Dangers, it makes a difference. I would not of been happy about paying the toll/train fare to have an interview :o

Snaggles, Its great to see you are fine too :T I really can't belive it was that long ago either. I am happier , much happier :D

However I seem to have made my budgets go wrong! Petrol was £45 as its gone up and the light was on. My groceries were £25 but that included £3 mothers day card and £1.50 choc (reduced) and a new sudoku book (£3) so really only £2.50 over budget. Got my phone top-up £10 and I did get fish and chips for me and mum tonight £5. So I have £5 remaining for the week.

Nothing to the CC and no money for charity shop searching, however we are doing that Friday and I shall have more pennies then :T It is bad (chips and extra groceries) but I don't think its that bad! Plus I would need a card/chocs anyway and at least I got the pick of the bunch. I am certainly not beating myself up about it.

    :cool2:
  • NSD's since my last post :j Might be beacuse I have little/no cash to my name :rotfl: Managed to save petrol last night and I have a day training tommorow. I still have to work tomorrow night but I am hoping come Friday I will still have just under 1/2 a tank :D Which means approx £20 to fill :j

Had a txt from my CC company today, min payment this month is £41  that will require an £80 payment if I am to actually pay off anything this month. I will recieve £29 parking this month whcich I will recieve on the 1st so by the 15th I need to add £12 min to that. Would like to pay it on the 8th to allow clearing. So I need to keep on top of that

Still planning to charity shop on Friday. I would really like a new bedside lamp, mine has been broken and just there for show for approx 4months. However not having one is annoying me now, they are £4 in Argos so I am hoping to get something cheaper/nicer. I could also do with some new trousers as these are far too big now, but I am not desperate, I can tack these in if needed ;)

Now off to swot up for tomoorow *yawn* :p

  • Hi Beanie, I may not here either but I did see one I adored in Next so I am going to see if I can get something a bit better. If not Argos it is, but I would rather reuse something as opposed to buy new. Tomorrow will be fine, its refresher training as I have been there a year () now so not too bad.

    Take care

I don't even go in charity shops now as they charge as much if not more than I can get the item new
  • Taxi, here too they are expensive certainly in certain areas, however I don't mind walking around them and seeing if I can find a bargain. Also the area we walk through has a fab old book shop which can be amazing to look through :D

    So budget!

    £234.49

    £75 car ins saves
    £70 bills saves
    -
    £20 petrol
£30 groceries (I know I said I would never however I have been following a new food plan and have lost a great amount of weight)
£20 CC saves (paying on the 8th)
    £10 charity shop
    £8.00 prescription

    233.00 :T

    £7.65 prescripton.

£18.65 on groceries, more than enough until next week. So £11.35 spare here.

£2.50 in a charity shop for a recipie book
£3.45 3* jigsaw and 3* balls for OCC
So £4 spare here (5p into pot)

I was also given £10 cash from Mum :T Also she purchased me a jumper, it was reduced to £3 in a CS and its a different style to what I would wear normally. I love it!

I will keep the £4 as I need to pay for parking one day. The £10 not used for grocerys have been added to the CC saves and the £10 Mum gave me will be kept until after Monday. I forgot that I am going out with a friend on Monday, don't know what we will be doing yet!

I did find a lamp for £5.50 it was really lovely, heavy glass base and although an old style really nice but would have needed a new shade. However we both forgot to go back to the shop and get it. It was the first CS we walked into and I wanted to see them all first. Kinda regret not going back this afternoon :o I might see if I have time tomorrow to pop down and see if its still there :rotfl:

    So sucessfull day :T

    :cool2:
  • [STRIKE]£20 petrol[/STRIKE], Ended up being £30.78  I didn't get petrol until Today which was well over half an empty tank my then. Kicking myself really! Also petrol has seemed to gone up again this week, only by 2p but thats a lot when you are filling a tank.
I will keep the £4 as I need to pay for parking one day. ...and the £10 Mum gave me will be kept until after Monday.

Did'nt go back for the lamp, I am going to wait again :rotfl: The £4 was used for the bus this morning to get to the passport interview £2.90. The £10 was used as follows...

£2.29 - happy meal (yuk and not on diet but?!)
£3.50 - new folder and pen for work
£2.50 - reduced soft toy for mothers day
£2.00 - mothers day card for brother (don't ask!)

I also spent £2.94 on my debit card for 6* reeves mini felt tip colour by number for OCC. Not too bad shopping day.

Did a quick quote for car insurance and it is coming out at £68 a month :T A monthly saving of £82 per month! Thats with Mum added as additional driver but the thing that is putting me off is its a 'girls only' insurance comapany :o A normal company is a £1 extra a month. Need to decide which to use, both give £25 cashback so there is no real winner.

Also when I last loged onto internet banking a window popped up 'your loan is coming to an end' :T It then tryed to convice me to get a new loan

    Take care all
