Hi,
not sure if anyone can help me it looks like I will have to lose the house and or go bankrupt, not sure what I can do.
Is there international debt management companies?
The tax laws have just changed over here in the Australia and an allowance I recieve is to be stopped on July 2012.
I left the uk to work abroad with the sole reason of sorting my finances out, i have a better earning potential over here. 6 months in and the Australian Government have changed the rules, at first it looked like I had until 2014 to sort things out and this would have been ok, not great but ok. Now my company have said the government meant only australians and mine with stop in July.
I'm devistated and trapped I have bills in the uk and send back 1000's each month to pay minimum payments plus but now I won't even be able to make minimum payment. I can't leave for 1 and 1/2 years as I will have to pay back 30000 to my employer, also me and my partner will have no jobs to return to, so either way there seems no way out...
I have no bills here except Rent broadband and utilities but not sure how I'm going to afford food for our children even. Life is getting very lonely over here not sure where to turn. No advice is being given......:(

You say you are sending back '1,000s' each month, which suggests you have a good income in Australia.
You say you cannot leave for 18 months because of a deal with your employer.
Seems you need to stay where you are for that time while maximising your income.
I'm not sure about declaring bankruptcy from abroad, but it's a waste of money to send back 1,000s each month if, in the end, you go bankrupt.
I would be tempted to sever all financial contact with the UK now in the knowledge that you will have a mess to sort out when you return.0 -
Hi I would sever all links regarding debt in UK, they cant come after you. If you visit uk on flying visit make yourself bankrupt or let some creditor in the UK do it for you.
I told my sister to do it as she lives abroad and is better off now.
Enjoy that beautiful country why would you come back here at the minute. Life is for enjoying. I went BR for 400K and was discharged after 1 year in Jan. It had no effect on me whatso ever.0
