    i hate it when things like this happen - it drives me bonkers until i can find stuff again:mad:

    look everywhere again! did you put it in any money-related place? inside a cheque book etc? with some post? with a pile of other stuff that was meant to go to work/be put away/upstairs/drawer etc

    ?fireplace ?bookshelf ?computer ?tv ?think of each room

    can your dad be of any more help? does he like practical jokes?

    Picked it up with a pile of papers? Put it folded up in a purse in an unusual compartment? Put it in a box for safekeeping? In a pocket of a jacket or jeans/different section of a handbag?

    Check your trouser pockets! I never use mine and sometimes in a rush shove money in and then forget about it and wonder where I spent that £10 or £20 I swear I had in my purse.

    Coat pockets, handbags especially those little pockets that you never use, down the side of the couch or chair, on the mantle piece?!

    What else did you have on you when you got home? A lunch box, shopping, newspaper etc. Have you checked through all of tthose in case its tucked up inside one of them?
