Barbie 'Princess' birthday cake

I have to make a cake for my granddaughter's 5th birthday. A Barbie 'princess' is expected... I have an ancient Barbie, and assume that I make a basic victoria sponge in a round bowl, but Barbie looks a bit tall for the bowl I have.
Please can a clever cakemaker tell me:
1. How big a bowl I need (I really don't want to cut her legs off - so wasteful)
2. How many eggs mix do I need ?
3. When I've made the cake do I just wrap her legs etc in cling film, make a hole and push her ito the centre of the cake (before making her a vast and much-decorated icing skirt.
4 And any other tips - please.
Apparently it HAS to be Barbie herself so I can't just pop to Mr T and buy a ready-made princess cake which I bet they sell.
Many hopeful thanks for advice,
Morgan

explains that an extra cake was needed under the bowl shaped cake to accommodate Barbie's legs.
The step-by-step instructions advise freezing the cakes so it is easier to cut a hole for the legs.0 -
