Hi folks. My spending has reached dizzy heights now but all necessary. Travel insurance, some things I needed for the holiday etc etc. Hopefully I am now organised and can call a halt on this. Really think I have everything now. I've booked hairdresser appointments for next week but other than that just spending money to sort out and that's me
.
Heading to see Bon Joi in Hampden tomorrow then countdown for hols will begin in earnest. It is 11 sleeps :rotfl:. The only downside is that I hate flying and it scares the bejesus out of me and even sitting in work the sound of the planes overhead makes my stomach churn. I will need a couple of stiff drinks before I get on that plane. I cannot wait though as it is years and years since we have had a holiday abroad. Sunshine here I come
.
DD is in Florida and it is very wet !! Rained every day so far but she seems to be happy enough so it must be okay regardless of the weather.
So on return from my holiday I will need to knuckle right down as I will have added about 2k to my totals and tbh I fully intend to go away next year too but I might just book that when we get back and pay it up every month so I don't put it on my card. I'll have a think about it and see.
So not much more to tell. Life is good and hopefully will stay that way xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

9 sleeps till holidays
Went to see Bon Jovi last night and he was fabulous. I've never seen him in concert before but would definitely go again. Tickets were bought months ago but still ends up an expensive night out. Train fares £50 for a taxi home  dinner and drinks and £55 spent before I knew it. That wasn't including the ticket. Will need to think about it more before I go again. Was £9 for just over 1 pint of cider which is just shocking . I spent much more 2 weeks ago ay Bruce Springsteen as i had had more to drink and caution was thrown to the wind. When will I grow up :o.
Anyway once I am back from holidays I will be angelic until Christmas. I phoned CSA yet again today and yet again been told it will take up to 15 days for my payments to come through. Ho Hum. I am going to start keeping a diary on it now as I am sick and tired of the whole thing. Someone in work made the mistake of saying to me today that it was a free service and I should be grateful for it. I nearly punched her out, Sanctimonious cow. She has no kids and no clue what it is to struggle financially. Makes me so bloody angry. Anyway, anger has gone now and I will carry on the best I can. I hope everyone is well and I am away to iron. Oh Joy !!;)5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Bless you, the CSA have so little powers, they are more or less a postman pat service. It was brought in to remove the strain on courts in cases re financial support. I think you should seriously consider some legal advice.
Also dont beat yourself up. You are having a time out remember? You are back on Moneysaving once your holiday is out the way.

Well I am back after a fabilous holiday in Salou. I am relaxed and ready to face the world again. I have unfortunately added about £2k to my debt but I will start dealing with that immediately. I'm also terrified to weigh myself ( she says whilst sitting munching on biccies
) but again right back on the straight and narrow as of tomorrow. I'm not going to stress about either of them as I needed the break desperately. I feel fab and healthy and ready to carry on. So tomorrow I will count up the damage and step on the scales :rotfl:and see where to go from there. I have also decided that I am going to head off with friends to Corfu in May with DS. DD wants to go away with her friends and tbh DS was a pain in the posterior at times on holiday as he was bored with just me hence going away with a crowd next time. This obviously means it will take me longer to completely get rid of my debt but I need a life and don't think a holiday is overdoing things. I will do it as cheaply as I can and will save the money up beforehand to pay for it

Evening folks. All washing done and 3 and a half hours ironing today  so house nearly back to normal
.
Still not able to get final figures for my debt as my laptop was dying and DS has changed me over onto a new one but my spreadsheets etc are all on my old desktop and I need him to swap them over.
I reckon I have nearly 2.5k more than I did but DD owes me £250 and I am due about £400 bonus this month so at least I can make a start on clearing it up. I have also worked out that I will need to save £150 per month for the holiday and I'm going to start putting £150 away a month for Christmas as well. I still want to be debt free by 50 so I will need to seriously crunch the numbers tomorrow. Wish me luck .
Back on the diet as I have put on a few pounds over the past few weeks and I have until next Wednesday before I go back to the slimming club to get it off again. I'm actually happier back on healthy food as I was getting quite ill again eating the junk food. I was £22 in the butchers today but that will make me 22 individual portions of meals. I made a huge pot of low fat chilli today and it was yum yum. I have 9 portions for the freezer so I am getting back in the swing and will be doing as much batch cooking as I can.
I'm still on leave this week but will be busy all week. Today was washing, ironing and dentist. DS was not happy when I made him walk with me to the dentist :rotfl:. I must admit by the time we climbed back up the hill home the sweat was dripping off my nose as it was rather warm and we were carrying some shopping. Tomorrow I want to clean out the cupboards in my kitchen and get the oven cleaned as it is becoming a health hazard.
Some of my new white tops from holidays were all yellow stains, obviously from the sun cream. Am raging as I have only worn the 4 of them once. I have them steeping in a mild bleach tonight and will do a hot wash tomorrow and fingers crossed I can save them .

I'm away soon on hols and cant wait to get back so I can do some serious debt paying.
Its nice to go on hols but nice to come home for some normality, ie food and day to day activities.
Hopefully after hiking to the dentist and back you may have sweated a few pounds off.:)x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000
