I usually buy fruit from the supermarket that is reduced in price, blend it in my smoothie maker with some ice and put it in a thermos in the fridge overnight, then take that with me with a straw so I can "drink my lunch" whenever I like and it really gives you energy for the rest of the afternoon.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 350 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :rotfl: :rotfl:

If I need to eat out, I usually find the nearest supermarket - e.g sainsbury's and buy a bagel (29p), cream cheese (49p) fruit (30p), 2litres of water (49p). Soup is also a good one...
obviously this all own brand stuff/basics - it's the only way to keep the price downBCSC Member 70:j

If I'm near home I use my snapfax to get a nice cheap meal somewhere. If I'm travelling elsewhere in the country I'll go to a JD Wetherspoons and get one of their club meals - they're cheap and usually OK quality.
If theres no club meal on offer that day, I'll just go to a bakery and try to survive on a smaller meal.DFW Nerd No. 140

I think it's Batchelors who make 'Mug shots' which is basically noodles in a mug, in different flavours. I'm sure last time I went Tesco had started doing their own line of them too. I don't find cup a soups filling enough but these noodles in a mug are, and think they cost approx 40p a pack. You just need a kettle/boiled water and a fork/spoon to eat them with. You will find them down the soup aisle in supermarkets near to cup a soups.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

Are you talking about at work? Can you not keep some emergency stuff tucked in your drawer or locker? I like the ideas that others have come up especially the soup one. What about beans or sketti on toast? Or a crumpet?!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
I keep an emergency stock of mixed nuts and large snak-a-jacks in my desk at work. You'll eat anything when your hungry.0

I keep a plastic spoon in my handbag, one of those freebie ones with a little knife bit on the other end, and would buy a small tub of cottage cheese and a pack of cream crackers, also maybe a yoghourt for afters.
As for a drink, whatever is cheapest. Individual carton of orange juice approx 30p in a newsagent?
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
