Willpower when losing weight

I'm following Slimming World but I am just so rubbish at it, my fiance and I are planning on going to Greece in September and I have around 3.5 stone to lose in total. Obviously I want to lose as much of that as possible before I go away!! I just struggle so much to stick to the diet. I've been on and off it for a while now. Did lose a stone but put a lot back on over Christmas.
Does anyone have any tips for me? :( Just want to do it properly this time! Fed up with feeling like I do.

you need to be organised on slimming world, and plan your meals for either the whole week or the following day.
are you on facebook? there are plenty of closed groups for slimming world, with plenty of recipes, tips and help available.
i'm on sw at at moment, and the groups are great.
    good luck

I'm not on Facebook no. The groups are good but I never stay after being weighed as the group is at 5.15pm so I get really hungry by then!
I don't know what it is really, I just always end up grabbing something when I'm leaving in the morning for my lunch (usually cous cous so not too bad). I get so bored of Weetabix for breakfast! Dinner is always done by my mum who is also on SW but tends to cook whatever for dinner.
I know I need to make a plan of what I'm going to eat each day and stick to it but I never seem to get very far.
I've downloaded a widget for my phone to show weight loss progress so hopefully that will give me a little boost and I'll be able to say no to the biscuits in the office!!

If you're always getting hungry I would suggest that it's the wrong diet for you. Doesn't matter if it works for other people, that's nowt to do with how it works for you. Dare I suggest that you try a low carb diet instead? You can eat whenever you feel hungry on that but TBH, if it suits you, you won't feel hungry in the same way - though you might get bored of eggs instead of weetabix.

Its not that I'm hungry, I just get bored of what I have to eat all the time. Not to mention getting bored of not having a bar of chocolate/bit of cake when everyone else is!

6 meals a day ( Breakfast, snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, snack)

If you feel hungery try drinking water first as normally we mistake hunger for thrist.

After breakfast, lunch and tea either brush your teeth or chew a piece of gum (I found this work the best for me)

Diet is about routine so knowing you can eat ever 3/4 hours will help

    What I do is this

Breakfast: 6.30am (eggs/salmon on a slice of wholewheat bread or porridge)

Snack: 9.30am (Apple and table spoon of peanut butter)

Lunch: 1pm (Turkey or Chicken Salad)

Snack: 4pm (2 table spoons of hummus along with carrots)

Dinner: 6.30pm (whatever my OH cooks)

    Snack: 9.30pm (handful of almonds)

I full heartly believe diet is not enough and you need to do 20 mins of exercise a day (plus it helps me anyhow because I dont feel hungry after working out!).

I think most people would get bored of weetabix every morning, it has to be one of the blandest cereals going, it has a high GI, will make you hungry very quickly afterwards; there are much better choices for you.

Like Daska says, low-carb may suit you better. No calorie counting, no low-fat (full of rubbish) foods, and a much more satisfying range of foods, which are better for you. Of course, there is still no cake - or pasta, rice, bread, biscuits, potatoes, and most fruits - but cake is full of sugar and flour which is how you got your problems in the first place!

It's a completely different mind-set than SW/WW etc and apart from the thread on here, there are plenty of books and resources on the net.

Mentally, you need to remind yourself why you are doing this - I have to say a good diet is not just for holidays! - if you ask yourself questions starting with 'Do I want,' you will hopefully talk yourself out of things.
