Last day of the year was quite foggy, although it was really sunny just 5 miles away - 0.6 O's.December ended at 115% of PVGIS and the year at 103%, which is second best out of four since installation.Gas for central heating was the lowest of the last 9 years I have records for at 5,300 kWh. Hoping this year we will switch to a heat pump if I can persuade the boss.6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Buckinghamshire.6

December results.
Month looks bad on paper with 60% of target. Big spread, with 56% for the ESE/SSW* and 89% for the WNW. But the WNW figure isn't impacted by battery charging losses, and will be a truer representation of the months 'real' generation. Year end projection ~96% of target.
[*2.1kWp SSW ground mount is steep pitched for winter, and sits between a large tree to the SE and the house to the SW, so will incurr some shading throughout Apr-Sep. The rest of the PV is roof mounted, ESE & WNW, and receives shome shading, but all PV is Solaredge to minimise shading losses.]
Generated 105kWh (12.03 O's).
Imported 973kWh. [All cheap rate apart from 14.7kWh]
Exported 21kWh.
Total consumption 1,057kWh.
Gas zero since late Oct.
Year end figures:
Generated 6,990kWh (801.15 O's) 96% of target. [Estimate 98.5% of target if battery charging losses are excluded.]
Imported 5,831kWh. [All cheap rate apart from ~0.5kWh/day that sneaks through.*]
Exported 4,166kWh.
Total consumption 8,655kWh. [That's all household demand, but excludes some BEV charging away from home, which I'll guestimate at ~300kWh.]
Gas from Jan to late Oct 655kWh.
*Day rate leccy imports due to three factors. First and smallest, the battery inverter not being able to react perfectly to demand increases. Secondly, not being able to match varying demand from microwave and induction hobs which don't sit at 100%, but phase between 0% and 200%. Thirdly, once we replaced the gas oven in Oct, it, plus any other demand on at the same time, can exceed the inverter limit of 3.68kW. But all in all, I think ~0.5kWh/day is excellent.
Edit - Estimated leccy bill for the next year, at current rates, is ~£550. Estimated export income, at current rates, is ~£550 to £600. Nice.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Made 113% of PVGIS for the year which was very good, especially as the inverter was replaced twice in July and August.

December - 74% of PVGIS - despite that it’s still our best December to date
year end - 1000 x O’s exact
And 105% of annual PVGIS
generation paid £545 this year - v happy with that
next year I’m going to have to make shading allowances for the winter months as even on the rare perfect sunny day we still don’t generate much due to trees down the way from us with the low winter sun.Lancashire

Fantastic 2025, best year since panels installed in 2011. Total of 3578kWh which equates to 1192kWh per kWp for the whole year. 2022 was close behind. Lowest was 3053kWh in 2024 so maybe these things average out. It definitely doesn't show any sign of panels degrading when there is so much variation year to year.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.6
