Help! Half price champagne - no idea if it's any good!

Hi everyone,

I just bought a bottle of 'De Laurency' brut Champagne in Sainsbury's for £14.99 (supposed real price, £30 - sure it is...).

Anyway I bought it thinking I could come online and find out if it's supposed to be any good (and swap it for something else if it's not), but I can't find any details anywhere!

Has anyone ever tried it, and if so, what did you think?

It has been sold at 29.99 and lower by Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Virgin Wines and is also reviewed on a US winelovers' website where it retails for 46.99 USD and was described as elegant. It may be produced by a co-operative in Champagne, it's certainly not a big champagne house product.

We have bought it when it was half price before and it is fine. Don't drink a lot of champagne but certainly tasted OK to me.
