I thought Jello was clear like Rowntrees Table Jelly, I meant, rather than Angel Delight. I know about the jam - jelly thing.

Jell-O is a brand name, but it's more widely used as a generic term to mean the US equivalent of our jelly. Like calling tissues Kleenex, or vacuuming Hoovering. They have other products, including the angel delight style pudding. Waitrose sell it if you're curious. ;)

I squealed at the thought of Jello instant sugar free chocolate pudding being available in Waitrose, looked online and nope. So I called customer services and they say no, they don't sell any Jello products. :(

Jello salads are a weirdo part of 'traditional' US cuisine. I have some older US recipe books with loads of recipes for various disgusting combos of savoury veg and fruit flavour jello-bleuch

Ocado have Jell-O Chocolate Dessert on their website, I assume it's the same stuff?

Yes that's it ! :j:T:beer: (emoticon overload there). Unfortunately for me I don't live in an Ocado delivery area :( and that's not the sugar free version :( even if I did.

bcl99 aspic is even worse surely ? dasophster I was given a Texan cookbook and it was full of recipes using convenience foods as well as weirdo stuff Brits just wouldn't eat !

Ahh what a shame! It sounds good though so I may have to keep an eye out for it myself.

usually I am a dedicated Fresh IS Best person, but have been introduced to frozen garlic.
made by Taj - minced garlic (no oil) fozen in cubes and popped into a bag - 99p in Asda.
Works in everything - and you can cut the block/cube if you need less.

Edwardia, you can get Jell-o sugar free pudding on amazon UK...

    and lots of it!

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=jell-o&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=jell-o+sugar+free&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ajell-o+sugar+free

They have their gelatin sugar free dessert mix too, you can mix one of these with cream cheese, makes excellent low carb cheesecake! :)
