Fruit Trees at Tesco - £7.00

I hope no one else has posted this, I did a search but nothing came up.
Our local Tesco has fruit trees for sale for £7.00 each at the moment - I just had a quick look as I was rushing but I saw apple, pear, plum and cherry.
I'm going to head back tomorrow and get one or two for the garden.
I hope this is useful to someone

If you have an Asda near you, they're £6 0

If you have a lidl nearby, they'll be 2 for £7 on Thursday. No idea if it's same size but I think it is quite cheap for fruit trees.
hth Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one)! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.
What I achieved:
Car paid in full straightaway.

are they quite tiny for that price? It doesn't sound a lot for a decent sized tree and if you buy them too small it takes years for them to amount to anything.0

I have bought various from cheapish retailers over the years and my Tesco ones haven't come to anything - however you can take them back for a refund if they fail and you can be bothered, keep the cardboard and the receipt
Adsa, Woolies and Wilkos have been fine, as long as you buy as soon as they arrive in store and plant quickly after purchase, even if just heeling in until a perm home is ready
I have also been a bit dismayed at the eventual size of some of the Tesco other sapling trees - many would completely outgrow the average domestic garden, so if buying you may need to think of them as a temporary feature and be prepapred to hoick them out after 10 years (which can be quite a good policy with trees anyway)

Aldi have apple cherry plum and pear trees there about 5ft tall for £3.990

We got cherry plum and apple and are going back for a couple more. They are already planted and are budding, look like healthy trees.0 -
