    Paint over it? :D :rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

  • I've always found that Cillit Bang is great for getting out stains (bath-wise). Also, filling up the tub and disolving some biological washing powder and letting it soak overnight might help.

As for the wall. I think that your only option is to re-paint. I'm sure your landlord would be reasonable enough to understand that these things happen. Especially if you offer to re-paint in whatever colour they want. It would only be about £11 for one tub of the bathrom paint.

Worse comes to worse, then they would only take the cost of re-painting the bathroom out of your deposit - not the whole deposit. We had all sorts of disaters in our last house (iron burn on the living room carpet, washing macine leaked ruining all flooring in the kitchen, etc. etc.) and the landlord was fine as loong as we sorted them out.

  • Lol, i got hairdye on the bathroom carpet once too. My DH was not happy. The things we ladies have to go through!

When i was pregnant with my first, i decided to use a natural henna type dye. Oh my god, the mess! It was EVERYWHERE! It looked like i'd smeared poo all over the bathroom.

Try toothpaste on the marks not the gel stuff just cheap white toothpaste. It is slightly abrasive and bleaching so that should work. good luck.
  • henna type dye . . . It looked like i'd smeared poo all over the bathroom.
OMG - does anybody else use Boots henna conditioner? I bought it the other week as I'd run out of conditioner and it was cheap, but it looks foul when you squirt it out into your hand (ewwww) and turns the bath the most DEEEEEE-SGUSTING colour :o

Fortunately Tesco has Tresemme (my favourite) on BOGOF again :D

    Thanks guys!!!

I filled the bath up with washing powder and gave it a goooood scrub and it seems to be ok now!! YAY!! Left some bleach on a couple of the darker marks.

I am so glad i'm not the only one that has hair dye mishaps :rotfl: I'll try the toothpaste on the wall, if not, i will have to paint! (But only the week before i leave in case of any other little accidents :rotfl: )
