They say age 8+ but look too easy for that age.

Cheap but rather simple kit, maybe ok for party bags, thanks for sharing anyway.

    Talking of Halfords...

I can recommend this as a good deal for a larger gift, Rock Crawler radio control £19.99 off roader.

Various design in store. Got my DS one for Christmas. Very tough and powerful 4 wheel drive means you don't have to find somewhere smooth to play it goes over grass, mud, bumps etc. Steers well too, a lot of cheap ones hardly turn but this is good. Not rechargeable but ours is still running on the first set of Poundland Kodak batteries fine so not too bad.

He will like it, its pretty big, and boys like bigger, a lot of RC toys are a let down because they have no ground clearance so you have to go somewhere smooth or indoors, this beasty will go off curbs over gravel, up ramps, over the cat!

I think it's because of small parts, those little nuts and bolts look like toddler food to me.

....mind you, my 9 year old still puts everything in his mouth, his cable TV remote is all chewed on one corner and the wire from his PS controller! He's had sets like this for years and he never swallowed a one - but he eats through pencils like sweets

When our youngest was a toddler one day he screamed and screamed and screamed for about 40 mins was totally inconsolable, changed his nappy awhile later and saw something white in "it" it was a hard plastic white foiletti dove which had been on the tables at our wedding.

Poor little fella must have stung coming out that....
