Sorry, just thought I'd paste this from the T&Cs as there may be a charge involved in redeeming the prize if you win.

    8. There are 555 prizes, each comprising 18,000 Avios, redeemable against any Avios service. A return flight to a Zone One destination from the UK can be redeemed for 9,000 Avios plus £27. This ‘Reward Flight Saver Fare’ includes airline taxes, fees and surcharges, and is for regular collectors. The winner must make a booking within 12 months to be eligible for the Reward Flight Saver Fare. If a member has not collected at least one Avios in the preceding 12 months, standard airline taxes, fees and surcharges will apply. The award of the prize is considered as collection activity.

So it sounds like if you win you can either:
    a. use the Avios to book two return flights but will need to pay £54 taxes/charges (£27 for each flight)
    b. use the Avios for another reward e.g. hotels, Eurostar, days out which would not involve paying any additional charges (I think!)

    Hope that helps :)
Thank you to all who post comps and good luck to all who enter :j

I've just received one of these prizes with T&Cs attached. I've re-read them a few times and they are still as clear as mud, but anyway it's nice to be one of the elite 555!

If I am unable to travel within the 12-months from the unspecified "award date" (is this the date I make the claim?) then do I still have the 18,000 Avios to add to the ones I'll redeem in September when I actually fly BA?

    Duh?
