What options are available to me?

Options
I have signed up with CCCS, first payment was for £199 which was to be made in February, but went back to work after holidays to find the place closed and us all made redundant.

So they had worked out we had £16k worth of debt, I am due a call back tomorrow from a counsellor but I bet all she will say is no more DMP and token payments which aren't a long term solution.

So we will have my partners pay, she works 16hrs a week and gets £100 per week plus childtax credit, child benefit and whatever JSA and HB I get.

Its likely they'll suggest just paying token payments in the short term, they may suggest deferring the DMP for a few months whilst you see if you are able to find employment fairly quickly. If you cannot then they'll probably reassess whether any other options might be more appropriate, such as DRO for one or both of you (assuming your debts are split between you and you both owe less than £15k) or even bankrupty or whether to carry on token payments longer term until your financial situation improves.

Will you be entitled to some redundancy money?

I hope you find new work soon.

I am yes, not alot, but I plan on using what ever I get to learn to drive because its really ruining my job prospects being unable to drive and living in the sticks. I'd only get around £3k max anyway. I suppose I'll have to do all the hard work of sorting out token payments? Or will they do that for me?

I'm not sure, I think they'll help you with initial letters etc but think you'll need to actually make the payments yourself direct.
