Multibuy discounts being applied twice at Sa!nsbrys!

Hi,
Longtime lurker, brand new poster here wanting to thank all MSEers for all their tips. Am hoping this will be a good first post and of use to someone on here, although it might be a bit late!
Went shopping in Sa!nsbry's Br!dgw*ter (I believe that's how we do things on here!) this afternoon. Took advantage (quite literally!) of their 5 tins of beans for £2. It was only when we got home, that we noticed that the multibuy discount was triggering twice.
In amongst a lot of other shopping (and quite a few other multibuys!), I bought a combination of lentils and cannellini, aduki and borlotti beans. The multibuy discount of £1.30 was knocked off twice, meaning I got them for 70p!
I'm guessing that if you were to buy all aduki beans you would get them for 5p:
0.79 * 5 = 3.95 - 1.95 -1.95 = 0.05
and if you bought the most expensive - the mixed bean salad which was sadly out of stock earlier you would make £2.10.
1.22 * 5 = 6.10 - 4.10 - 4.10 = -2.10
I believe the multibuy offer ends today (it's not on their website anymore!) so it might only be relevant for anyone going shopping tonight. As i said, i know it works in Br!dgw*ter, but it might just work in other stores too! If I were you, I'd hide it in amongst some other shopping and multibuys - as even the dimmest of checkout people would notice something was up!
Even if it doesn't work, it's a great offer anyway! I'll be interested to know how anyone gets on.

Morning All!
I know it's not polite to bump your own thread, but I should tell you all that this was definitely working last night as a friend went and got some.
Also I'm wondering if this could be a more widespread glitch at Sa!nsbrys,
as I've only just spotted this post from heretolearn who yesterday reported a similar one with Sharwood's sauces in the SEheretolearn wrote: »Hi
Dartford Sainsbury's had sharwoods curry sauces at 1.69 each or 3 for £4.
The till rang through the 1.07 discount twice so they only cost me 2.93, less than a quid each.
Might be worth a go at yours as well?
Am changing the title of thread - feel free to report any other incidences of multibuy discounts being applied twice here.

definately wasn't working in my local Sainsburys this morning. Pretty sure either the offer is over or, more likely, the glitch is fixed. Sainsburys are usually very quick to fix glitches, unlike tesco :rotfl:0

Thanks for your reply wannasave.
Sorry it didn't work for you. Guess I was really lucky then!
