Hmm not sure why its upside down...
Just finished scoffing the soup which was better than I expected, def needed the slices of fried chorizo to give it a lift though, would have been really bland without it.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Parsnip and potato, chucked them in the slow cooker last night with some garlic, onion and veg stock, needed to add some more water before I blended it today as it was looking a but too dry for a soup. Served it with some slices of chorizo we had left from christmas which I fried to disguise the fact they were going dry and hard. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

try adding tumeric to give it flavour. i make roasted parsnip, onion and pepper soup and just use veg stock, ground corriander, mustard seeds and tumeric and its very tasty. i got a soup book for xmas and have just tried a recipe for curried cauliflower soup. was milk, cauliflower and garam masala. not pureed it yet but it smells yummy:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

Went for the run, did the shorter route 1.49 miles in just over 15 mins - which I thought was pretty good given I got lost on the backstreets of the estate and haven't so much as lifted myself off the sofa in an energetic manner for the last two weeks! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

That does sound good Clippy, not sure I have any tumeric, actually I'm not sure I have any spices of any kind at the moment - although I do have a cajun spice mix so might try that mixed in to one of the portions left I plan to freeze.
The cauli soup sounds lush too - we currently have a bag of frozen cauli from Christmas dinner so might give that one a try at some point too. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Happy New Year!
Rolled my lazy self out of bed about 2pm, spent the new year at a friends house with the boy, we didn't get home particularly late nor drink much but it was a nice evening.
Currently thinking about making myself a sausage buttie and a brew while the boy is out running. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Yup, apparently the boy was feeling wealthy when he went shopping so had pork and apple sausages on a butty.
