Unfortunately I needed to put fuel in the car on my way home tonight so my account is £15 lighter and I'll need to top it right off tomorrrow as I plan to drive 300 or so miles after work to go see my family for a couple of nights, so I really ought to be packing and getting the house in to a vaguely tidy state so I don't walk in when I get home and assume a hurricane has blown through in my absence.

    Well, you enjoy yourself.

In the meantime I have washing in the machine and have downloaded my shop and scan data and photographed my reciepts. There are times I wonder if I sell too much of my life to too many different people

What do you mean by that?

My after work routine on a Sunday involves downloading various bits of data from assorted scanners/recievers to companies who pay me for the priviledge. Shop and Scan for example - every time I go shopping I scan the things I buy with a little device they send and then on a Sunday evening connect the clicker to my laptop and send them the data.

Given how many survey sites I use, shop and scan, the neilsen panel (which is very like shop and scan), and the usual gumpf like loyalty cards it occasionally looks quite scary when I consider how much information I willingly give these companies about myself and my lifestyle.

    Is in the civilised north.

The drive seemed to take ages, but it was a relief when I finally arrived, popped in to see everyone before I came back to Dad's with the promise of a second hand tv to take home with me, as it's bigger than mine and spare.

Of course now I can't sleep as I drank too much coffee earlier, so am trying to bore myself to sleep with toluna surveys, but it's not working, so might just head for my pit with my Kindle anyway.

I have the TV in the back of my car along with another bag of diving equipment, my old TA kit bag with assorted 'stuff' some more clothes which now fit but didn't previously and another bag of CD's of the uber cheesy 90's pop variety which I didn't take with me after my last trip home.

I've also organised all my assorted fish tank stuff in to easy to get at boxes ready for when my mum and step dad eventually come to visit me and bring it all with them. :)

    Not "give" - but "sell".

At least you're making money for you out of it. Other companies try to sell you and make money for them.

You mean there's a uncivilised north? Ah yes, I remember - it's the North that isn't north enough... ;)

That's because of the excitement. Those police motorcyclists took ages to go before you finally out-ran them... ;)

    Well that is good news.

May as well make the oldies productive... ;)

Hell if I could move further north than here, say back to central Scotland where I went to uni I would but the logistics of finding a job and house so far from where I live now make it seem almost impossible! I think my family want me to move back here but its not a high priority yet maybe at the end of my tenancy agreement if I've not found a better job where I am now.
So it was the police....I did wonder about the flashing lights still they kept me entertained for a 100 or so miles.
I love cheesy 90's pop, the ex on the other hand didnt which is why this half of my cd collection got left behind when I collected the rest. Now its my house and my rules, and god help my neighbours.

They've been talking about coming to visit since I moved almost 2 years ago, so I'm not holding my breath about them actually coming to visit, but the bigger tank doesnt fit in my car (it's about 8inches too long even if I could completely flatten the back seats.

Thinking about what and how I've packed it I would put money on me getting to work tomorrow to find they're doing a full security check so am tempted to grab a couple of my old riding crops to chuck on top of the boxes....

You will - in general - go where the work is. Since you're only renting, it makes things a lot easier. Rightmove is your pal for that.

The travelodge £7 rooms also help if you get a job, but are sans-accommodation for a few days.

Like a mobile disco - complete with whistles, sirens and waving their hands in the air...

They'll just have to modify their tastes. Or else...

Well why not, I've got my riding boots and hat in there somewhere, along with wetsuits, a couple of pairs of knee boots and assorted other bits of dive kit which I'm told have multiple uses. ;)

I don't think the hat would - but the boots and whip would probably fly... ;)

True, it would be an amusing way to lose the 'quiet and sensible' reputation I seem to have picked up somewhere along the line.
