And according to my spending diary I spent £661.04 last week. Wow!
This was split up in the following ways:
Charity: £2
Debt: £175.26 (La Redoute paid off, £50 to rent arrears, £60 FD repayment)
Groceries: £48.49 (including £19.20 for last weeks fruit & veg box and eggs)
Household bills: £127.96 (four months broadband and £30 water)
Pets: £17.69
Postage: £0.44
Social: £10
Therapy: £148 (January's bill)
Transport: £30.20
Misc: £50 (deposit for hire car provided by insurance company - refundable on return)
Now I'm not surprised there is no money in either of my accounts. I kicked myself after paying the ntl: because I probably could have negotiated paying half now and half next month.
Groceries and social - v.good.
Therapy bill - shocks me every time I get the bill but I have committed myself to the process until the summer holidays and don't want to stop now.
Extra income I have made this week - £304 from shed and climbing frame on ebay.:T Plus have totalled my FD charges and am going to send off the letter to them tomorrow. Awaiting to hear from HSBC...
Am loving the snowball calculator and am playing around with it like crazy! And have just written to the IP telling her I don't want to employ her services. Wonder how much she is going to bill me anyway???Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000 -
Awww your horse is lovely, I used to have a horse years ago, miss riding dreadfully, but don't miss the money side of it!
Well done with your progress x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Today I have:
-called HB re a claim - even though it will only be for a week's worth it is £40 or so more than if I didn't claim it. Thanks Bobbie for the inspiration.
-written to the IP I went to see saying thanks but no thanks for her help at £500 + VAT (will be interested to see how much she decides to charge me for our one meeting anyway...)
-written to AA loans asking for the PPI back even though they have passed it over to a DCA
Tomorrow I will:
-call the vet about horse jabs (thanks Tigzem - he is lovely inspite of his costliness!)
- send letter to first direct reclaiming bank charges
Bloomin' 'eck!!! That should keep me out of trouble!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000 -
Have sent letter requesting charges refund (approx £900) to first direct and also wrote off to HSBC in response to their 'final demand' using a template from the National Debt Helpline which basically said 'fine, take me to court because you'll look like fools if you do because I am doing my best'! Think it put it a bit more formally than that!!!
Just had a phone call from the HB people who said they will consider a back dated claim - wont guarantee anything but at least it's not a definite no.
Called the vet - looks like I am going to have to pay £140 instead of £70 because I let it run out. Not so great! Still, wont do that again  !Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000 -

Not quite so good as week one as I went down to Weymouth for a long weekend to check some stuff out. Didn't do so great in the planning. Also had cash in my hand from taking some scrap in and so was so much easier to spend it
Eating out - £40.60 (nearly half was because I stopped off at services  - wont do that again!!!)
Social - £15.50 - one round and a taxi
Groceries - £14.69 - very low so hopefully can shove some of the eating out disaster into this section ...
Postage - £0.44
Kid's stuff - £3.50
Sundries - £6.63 - an AtoZ and a newspaper
Transport - £60 - lots more fuel than usual (plus hire car is a bit of a guzzler - might see if I can stick that on my claim!)
All in all came to £141.36 which was much better than last week.
Must remember though the point at this moment in time is to keep an accurate record of what I spend. After a month then I will work on making some cuts here and there. Pleased with progress so far.
Moving out in a week and kind of freaking out about it (but not so much that I am actually doing any packing - must go now and be efficient!!!)Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000 -
Just remembered that I got back from my weekend away to a bill from the IP I went to see last month who promised to save the world for me on an IVA. It came to £100 + VAT for 2 meetings and not employing her services. Whilst I would rather spend the money on something else I can't help but feel that it is a small price to pay for NOT having gone down that road - it could have been fifty times worse!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000
