Buy Baileys at Sainsburys and get a free gift or MOC

The offer isn't applied online. Plus the gift is random as you get a coupon in the voucher machine. Buying any 70cl or 1 litre Baileys will qualify you

They were:
. £2 off Cava
. £10 off Champagne
. A free chocolate snow bombe (£6)
. A free box of mince pies - I think they were Mr Kiplings
. A free box of TTD salted caramels (£4.99)
. A free TTD Hidden Cherry Christmas pudding 2lb (£6.50)

I bought a bottle for a friend's birthday along with another 70cl to make it 2 for £20. I received the coupon for the Christmas pudding.

My last coupon from the till was 80points if I spent £20.
  • Took advantage of Sainsburys 'buy a bottle of baileys and get a free gift offer.' However what they don't tell you until after you buy is that the supposed free gift is 'subject to availability' - so if they run out of the 'gift' you don't get anything. TOTAL CON!

Did you ask for an alternative, does the offer state somewhere something like "whilst stocks last " or "subject to availability"
  • No there was nothing on the sign attached to the shelf in front of the Baileys bottles that indicated the offer was subject to availabiity or anything. However it was printed on the coupon I received after I'd purchased. I did speak to a member of staff today when I went to redeem the coupon (only to find they didn't have it) but she just pointed at the exclusion on the coupon, even though I pointed out that customers should be told this before they buy. So no there is no alternative. What made me seeth however, was that on the way out I had to walk past several signs, each one about four foot high, which proclaimed 'free gift with every bottle of Baileys.' I hate feeling as though I've been conned........
