Cushelle Koala Comp - Been refused my win!

About two weeks ago I purchased 2 x 4 pack Cushelle toilet rolls and noticed the competition on the packs. I entered a few times, having read the terms and conditions, with a few different e-mail addresses. I won and so sent off the promotional pack to the freepost address given. Sorted or so I thought.

The terms and conditions state "Only one entry per person or per valid e-mail address per day"

I thought this meant that if one person has different e-mail addresses, the entry on the same day would be valid, it's the word 'or' that surely makes the difference here. Anyway, not so. This morning I have received a letter (with the promotional pack returned) saying that I am not entitled to my win because I have played more than once per day. I've rung the enquiries telephone number and spoke to the lady and she said someone will get back to me but their understanding of the rules is it is one play per day per person.

I have deja vu here..... anyone remember the velvet fiasco?

im afraid things like this will happen when people are enterting in diffrent names and emails, the more people that get greedy the more the people that are running competitions will put measures like this in place.
    It`s getting to the point

It is a risk you take when you enter more than one email address/ telephone number from the same IP address as a lot of companies are becoming savvy and are actually checking.

I enter three email address/ telephone numbers for the ITV comps as they are the big comps but all the rest I only ever use my mobile and my main email address and I think I do quite well and would find it very time consuming to enter more than once each comp

Sorry not got nothing constructive or helpful, just thought I would give my two cents

I read it as Entering more than once per day rules you out or using the same e-mail address more than once per day rules you out. You don't have to break both conditions hence the "or" and not an "and"

As in your op the terms stated:

"Only one entry per person or per valid e-mail address per day"

Always read the T&C's and follow them, if you break them then you disqualify yourself.

I have noticed recently companies becoming more stringent on their T&C's especially since comping has been openly advertised.

Prime example would be the Nisa comps, they have now included a captcha, probably to stop automated entries.

Only last year I saw Sony pull a comp on FB because someone had set up multiple accounts and thought a giant like Sony would not spot it but they did and pulled the comp and everyone lost out because their terms and conditions were solid.

Always read the terms and conditions and if you are unsure then don't enter until you get some clarification. Plenty of experienced compers on here willing to help out with deciphering T&C's.

    Good luck. :)
