Old phone has 5 watchers and 5 days left
Day 3 of Weight Watchers and I'm starting to get in the swing of it. I think I've lost a couple of lbs already but that's just because I'm not eating 24/7.
1 painting nearly complete for the Feb vintage fair but I seem to have developed mild RSI. Going to get a wrist support tomorrow
Hope 2012 has treated everyone well so far0 -
I'm very happy today
I now have 10 people watching my HTC.
I've tested my iPhone iPod and it is better than my current iPod so that will be going on eBay next weekend. looking at other auctions I can expect to get about £50.
I've finished my first burlesque/vintage painting for the vintage fair. You can see it on my blog (Amatheya's Studio) full steam ahead for the second painting.
I've made my first loan payment of the year. Chipping away at it slowly
...and finally. This month I will be able to move my loan onto a 0% credit card :j I'm very excited as firstly this will give me a lot more flexability with my money.
I'll be sorting it all out as soon as I get the paperwork but right now I am so happy that as my minimum payments with 1/2 I will no longer have to worry about all the unexpected stuff that can happen because if it does I'll just be able to say "hohum, I'll pay a little less this month" I just have to make sure I don't get into a habbit of doing that :A
The other thing that cheers me up no end is that I will finally be able to stick two fingers up at the bank who gave me the hard sell when I was only a kid (admittedly it was my fault, I didn't have to take out the loan but like many I was in a sticky situation not entirely of my own making and I was neive enough then to think that the bank was trying to help me not make money off of me) and has had me under its thumb ever since! :mad:0 -
I'm still waiting for the paperwork for my new cc to come through but while I've been waiting I've been playing with spreadsheets and thinking about this years money goal.
I'm only 5 days into my resolutions but now knowing that my loan will be moved to a 0% credit card I feel it only makes sense for me to adjust my goals accordingly. Once I have moved my money I will have only 1 debt left on which I am paying interest and that is my over draft. I usually forget about this one as it was the one I was leaving until last. The fee is only around £25 a month but that is still £25 that I could be saving and so instead of keeping my goal of paying off my loan by the end of the year I will be working to the goal of paying off £7k of debt, starting with my £2k over draft. If I achieve this I will more than halved my debt by the end of the year and I will not longer be living on borrowed money.
In other news. Watchers for my phone are up to 11 and planns for the vintage fair are progressing. My friend and I will definately be running it as a joint venture and being the marketing whiz that she is she has come up with lots of marketing ideas :T0 -
Woohoo! I have my first bid on my old phone. That's a definate £60 quid for the pot
I also have 17 people watching and 2 days left so hopefully I'll get the £100 that I would like :j
Now looking forward to getting more fluff on ebay on Sunday.
This weekends tasks are;
Finish/Nearly Finish my next burlesque painting.
Make a test print of my first burlesque painting and frame it for show. (Assuming the test print goes well look into selling on ebay & folksy)
Update my website.
If I have new cc sort out my money transfer.
Put stuff on eBay.
Restore old phones factory settings and package to be sent monday.
Get new business cards & possibly post cards.
That's a lot of stuff to do but I'm sure I'll manage.
I'm feeling very positive :beer:0 -
This weekend is definately not going as planned
On the bright side my phone is now over £70. Can't wait to see where it finishes :j and I've just had my first weight watchers weigh in and I've lost 5lb :j 33lbs left to lose
On the other hand I've had a bit of a nightmare with the goals I set for the weekend.
My computer decided to run slow this weekend so working on my new illustration just didn't happen. I'm going to try again today but I really need a more powerfull PC
Making a test print took me about 4 hours in the end because my printer decided to play up. Fitst it ran out of one ink half way through a print, then another, then it deiced it needed re calibrating and a head clean... Why does the head clean program need to be run about 15 times before it actually works? Finally it worked but I had to alter the colours slightly for best print quality and then I noticed a couple of little problems which while not apparent on the digital copy, bugged the hell out of me on the printed one so I had to change thes... By the end of it I was completely fed up
I've started updating my website. Actually finished about 2am  but I've still got lots to do on it.
My cc didn't arrive so I'll have to defer sorting my finances to next week.
I still need to photograph everything I want to put on eBay.
I still need to find out how to restor my old phones factory settings.
and finally I haven't even thought about looking for business cards
On top of all that I need to do the washing up, laundry and I have a very smelly rat who needs cleaning out and I've only just woken up!
Oh well, I suppose I should stop woffling and get on with it!0 -
My phone sold for £101 :j:j:j I'm very happy with that. I think I would have been dissapointed if it hadn't hit the £100 mark. I will be using the £100 to pay off a little of my debt with the exception of £10 which I shall use towards treating myself to a art book that I've been eyeing up since Christmas
So on the goal front;
I haven't done any art work this evening. I may do some latter tonight, I always paint better at night. In order to have enough work for the Vintage fair I will need to complete at least 1 illustration per week so I'm still ontarget regardless.
I'm now happy with my test print but I will need to get some frames and packaging before the Vintage fair. I won't worry about than until about 1 week before though.
I've done a bit more work on my website. I'm going to aim to get the bew version uploaded by next week.
I've put some bits of cloathing, some shoes, a bag and my iPod nano on eBay. I would of put more but my camera ran out of battery. Hopefully that's a minimum of £50 coming in next week
I've restored my old phones factory settings and it's sitting packaged up just waiting to be sent
I still haven't got my new business cards sorted out but as long as I do it before the Vintage fair I'm not too worried.
So all in all a productive (if not as productive as I'd hoped) weekend. I've also done the laundry and some cleaning so that makes me feel as if I've done something a little usefull and I've joined read it swap it instead of sending all the books I wouldn't have been able to sell to the charity shop
I'm looking forward to a positive week ahead... or if not then at least one I can survive!!! lol0 -
Gah! Woke up this morning feeling awfull. Think I'll go straight to bed when I get home, no work for me!!
On the other hand I think I'll clean out Peanut the rat first as he is definately on the wiffy side!0 -
WooHoo! I got my new cc through today. I should be able to pay off nearly all of my loan this month with one last payment to be made in Feb. Really chuffed to be seeing the end of that loan but I've noticed that all of a sudden everyone is trying to offer me money Gah! I'm not even remotely tempted to ever take out more debt again!!!
Still feeling poorly though and now I've sorted my financy things I'm off to bed!0 -
I really wish I would stop feeling pawly, it's starting to make me feel really depressed. I tried to book Friday off so I could at least have the long weekend to recover but my boss said no
I'm more than a little irritated.
Anyway, moving on. I've ruined my diet this week. I've been trying to eat healthy but feeling ill is making me really hungry and I'm also eathing Soothers like candy and I'm pretty sure thats ruined any good I may be doingI've also not done any art this week as I've been going to bed at about 8 every night.
On a up note I've already made over £10 on my ebay sales for Next Sunday and I'm looking forward to seeing what my iPod goes for. I've been made 2 offers of £50 but I've decided to let the auctions run. I'll kick myself if it does go for less than £50 but I think it's worth the gamble.
Right, I need to get off to bed again before I keel over0 -
I'm still here
Just realised that I'm only £45 away from my first £500 of debt paid in 2012. I wonder if I'll manage the £500 mark before the end of January? That would be a nice start to the year0
