Curry recipe?

I was hoping to do a curry this evening but the only recipes I can find need some sort of cream or yoghurt which I don't have in :o I have tins of tomatos coming out of my ears though (half price in Tesco!) :D any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Try using madras curry paste - fry chicken add onions, add paste, stir in tin of toms. serve with rice and poppadoms - easy!

I make them by a fairly traditional means as many curries don't have cream or yoghurt. All you need is a few onions. I usually sautee 2 large white onions in a little oil and then add some Madras curry paste or spice mix. To that I add 1 can of chopped tomatoes then blen it with a hand blender, the resulting sauce is then very very thick like the ones you get from a take away and tastes really rich even though its quite low fat. You can then add whatever you want to it but chickpea is my favourite
  • Well i dont know if you will have this stuff in but i got a good recipe for chicken curry and when i make it it does 6 servings so you can freeze the left over in bags.
1 large whole chicken ( cook and shred)
1 cup full of petit pois
Half a tub of muchrooms ( sliced or diced)
2 jars of chicken jalfrezi sauce
    2 large onions

Boil the mushrooms onions and peas seperate and mixed with the cooked chicken and sauce and thats about it!
