i couldnt get the terms to let me tick it, but there is an alternative entry route mentioned at bottom of terms which took me to an ordinary fb sweepstakes page and let me enter that way.

PRE-COMPETITION PRIZE DRAW
5. The competition will commence on December 1st 2011 and closes at midnight December 8th 2011 (the “Pre-Competition Period”).
6. 500 Magners advent calendars are available to be won during the “Pre-Competition Period”.
7. To qualify for a Magners advent calendar entrants must:
a. Firstly, ‘like’ the Magners UK Facebook page – www.facebook.com/magnerscider
b. Secondly, the entrant must accept permission to use the Facebook application.
c. Thirdly, the entrant must complete the necessary personal details fields – Name, Email Address, Date of Birth and accept the terms and conditions of the “Pre-Competition Period”.
8. Winners will be contacted via email by 9th December 2011.
9. The first 500 entries received will be awarded with a Magners advent calendar.
10. Prizes will be distributed by registered post by 12th December 2011.

17 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS PRIZE DRAW
12. The competition will commence on December 8th 2011 and closes at midnight December 25th 2011 (the “17 Days of Christmas Competition Period”).
13. Each day different prizes are available to be won, as stated below: -
Day 1 – 200 Magners 17 Days of Christmas Tree Decoration Kits
Day 2 – Unlimited O’Neills voucher for buy one get one free on Magners Original 568ml, Magners Pear 568ml, Magners Specials Spiced Apple and Honey, Magners Specials Pear and Ginger, Magners Specials Spiced Apple and Rhubarb, a pint of Magners Original Draught and a pint of Magners Golden Draught at O’Neill’s for Friday 9th December.
Day 3 – 20 pairs of theatre tickets to attend a show at the Ambassador Theatre Group across the UK.
Day 4 – 250 Magners Christmas gift wrapping kit.
Day 5 – 2 × 6 packs of Magners Pear for 50 people
Day 6 – 40 limited edition Christmas jumpers
Day 7 – Unlimited Nicholson’s voucher for a bottle of Magners Specials and a Nicholson’s Bar Bite for £5.95 on Wednesday 14th December 2011.
Day 8 – Unlimited Slug and Lettuce voucher for 2 for 1 on Magners Original and Magners Pear 568ml bottles on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th December.
Day 9 – 100 Magners Specials limited edition gift packs
Day 10 – 2 × 6 packs of Magners Original for 50 people
Day 11 – 5 iPod Nanos
Day 12 – 100 iTunes vouchers
Day 13 – 50 Magners Specials hampers including 1 x Magners polo shirt, 1 x Magners bar runner, 1 x retro sign, 1 x Magners Golden Draught key ring, 2 x Magners pen, 2 x Magners cotton bag and 2 x Magners bar blades.
Day 14 – 200 Magners beanbags
Day 15 – 100 cases of Magners glasses
Day 16 – 1 × 6 pack of Magners Pear and 1 × 6 pack of Magners Original for 50 people
Day 17 – Trip for 2 to Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day (March 2012). The trip will include return flights, two nights of accommodation in the Hilton hotel with breakfast and one night’s dinner and £500 spending money.
14. To qualify for a Magners the 17 days of Christmas prizes entrants must
a. Firstly, ‘like’ the Magners UK Facebook page – www.facebook.com/magnerscider
b. Secondly, the entrant must accept permission to use the Facebook application.
c. Thirdly, the entrant must follow the specific instructions for entry to the competition each day as specified on the Facebook and complete the necessary personal details fields – Name, Email Address, Date of Birth and accept the terms and conditions of the “17 Days of Christmas Competition Period”.
d. In the case of day 9 when the prize to be won is a Magners Specials limited edition gift packs, winners will need to provide a copy of identification to confirm their eligibility, as listed in point 2. This can be a passport, driver licence or any other official form of identification.
15. The winner will be selected at random by an independent judge.
16. Winners will be announced via the Magners Facebook page at the end of the “17 Days of Christmas Competition Period” on 29th December 2011.
17. The winners have until 1st January 2012 to claim their prize by responding to the email received from Magners.
18. The winner will receive a single prize on the day as specified above.
19. Each individual is strictly limited to 1 entry per day and will only be able to win one of each prize.
19. Prizes will be distributed by registered post once the winner has shared the relevant identification.
20. In situations where prizes consist of free Magners product each entrant will only be able to win a maximum of 2 such prizes through the duration of the competition in order to comply with responsible drinking regulations.
21. The prizes are to be organised and distributed by Magners’ approved management company. Management of the prize will be within the sole control of Magners and Magners’ approved Management Company. Entrants are responsible for any further costs or expenses incurred as a result of participating in or winning the contest.

The actual Advent Comp does not start till the 8th Dec (see OP's post) but I think you can win an advent calendar until then. Quite a few people on their wall confused especially as the tree is numbered 1 to 17 but obviously this will be 17 days ( 8th - 25th)
