Finally signed up to MSE that is:money: I've probably been the longest lurker ever in the history of this site, six months or more I recon, but finally pulled my finger out today, although I have follwed a lot of the advice that I have read in all of the threads.
Since reading the site I have changed the leccy supplier, sold my old mobile through the company mentioned in the home page (previous ones went into the bin!!), put some cash aside for a summer holiday (previously I would have just whipped out Mr Plastic Fantastic) The only debt that I now have is the credit card which will take some time but is manageable.
My card debt is £4200 which I know is small compared to some of the debts that others have but in reading all of the threads and the seeing the stress and difficulties that large and/or growing debts can cause I have learnt that borrowing large amounts is not a good idea, and the only borrowing that I intend doing is to make home improvements, and that will only be happening once the card debt is cleared!
MSE is definitely one of the more useful sites that I have come accross, and also, as a compliment to you guys......one of the friendliest:T
See you around!
