Try a 'half everything' week

I started doing this a while ago and it saves you a bit. Every little counts doesn't it?
Try using only half of everything you use. So for example, half as much milk on your cereal as usual, half as much sugar in your tea, half as much washing up liquid, half as much shower gel, you get it now? You won't notice a thing as we all use way to much stuff anyway.

Haha I like your thinking - might just join you with this. Was thinking last night that I spend far too long in the shower I could quite easily cut this by half and use less products. I'm also planning on only using the car every other day to try and save petrol. So I either walk, or save jobs for my car using days.0

That's a great idea!
This evening in the shower I used about a third of the shower gel I normally use, as that was all that was left in the bottle, and I was still as clean as normal!
I'm going to try this for a week - thanks for the idea!0 -
Did half as much work today, worked great!
Used half as much toilet paper this morning though, didn't work so well...0 -
I really like this idea, I think I'm going to start off with using half as much toiletries as I usually do since I'm always going over budget on these.

If you find you always use too much toiletries, get a pump dispenser as they regulate the amount you can use. I'm terrible with shower gel, so just waiting for a handwash to empty then I'll decant into that

Good idea.
About the third of the milk on my childrens' cereals gets poured down the sink each day. What a waste!
It sounds awful but I have less showers than I used to. I just wash every other day unless I've been doing anything particularly strenuous that has made me stinky

I love this idea.
Bet we all use too much toothpaste, shampoo etc.
I have also cut down on the amount of showers I have.
I wash my hair every three or four days and it looks better for it.
I know it sounds weird but I find it very liberating.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

I've been doing this all my life, I'm not an especially sweaty person so just freshen up in the morning. I wash my hair every other day, but have now stretched to every two days by including a "hair up" day on day 3 (I wash hair before bed as I'm not an early morning person)Absolutely wrote: »Good idea.
