With the exception of dumping them. I have one and I feel it will benefit someone does anyone have any ideas as to where it could be sold for a few pounds?

Depends on the spec, but TBH, most aren't worth the hassle of selling these days. You could always give it away on Freecycle?
  • There are a lot of useful links on the "Useful Links Sticky" on the green and ethical board if you have a browse.

This thread on the green board might also be of use:

I have been building and repairing PC#'s for a rweally long time, I have gathered up quite a collection of old bits and bobs, I have tried to sell them on EBAy but nobody is interested, if anybody is interested in this stuff send me a PM, I can arrange to meet you somewhere with it all, or you can collect...

I see you can get a brand new PC from Tesco for less than £300. Includes a flat screen as well. No wonder we have athrow away society.
Freecyle would be my suggestion - might do someone some good

If you're still looking rid of it, let me know - I'm interested in picking up a cheapie or a freebie to practice my newfound hardware installation skills on :D

NICVA used to take them and then refurb them for small voluntary groups
  • I find Belfast freecycle really great-i have given loads of stuff to people who really need it!
Also i believe in karma.....you get what you give......and everytime ive given something away i always get something that im in need of when i ask for it on freecycle!!
    Just a thought :-)
