Terms & Conditions – The Collectibles Competition

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING THE COMPETITION. BY ENTERING THIS COMPETITION YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to anyone resident in the UK, who is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Microsoft or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners). Only registered users of https://www.facebook.com are eligible to enter this competition. All entrants submitted via the Windows UK Facebook page, will need submit in either image or written form why they deserves to the win in order to be able to redeem their prize.

2. TO ENTER: Entrants must "like" http://www.facebook.com/windowsUK to be eligible to enter the competition. To enter the competition you will need to enter your details on the Your PC Mate tab on the Facebook page’s wall and complete the required sections. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. The Promoter is not responsible for lost entries. “Liking” of Windows UK Facebook page alone does not count as an entry to the competition. No purchase necessary. Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering you accept that you may be contacted by the Promoter or its agents via your email address and by Facebook correspondence with reference to the Windows UK campaign. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

3. TIMING: This competition opens online from 10.01:00am GMT on Friday 28th October 2011 and runs until 16.30:00 GMT on Friday 2nd December 2011. (inclusive). A winner will be chosen each Friday at 17.00:00GMT

4. USE OF DATA: Personal data which you provide when you enter this competition may be used for contacting you in relation to this competition only. It will not be associated with any information Microsoft Ltd may have previously collected from you, and will not be retained by Microsoft Ltd following the end of the competition.

5. SELECTION OF WINNERS: The eligible entries received before the end of the competition will be judged by a panel of judges. Whichever entrant receives the highest number of votes by the judges will be deemed the winner. A new winner will be selected each Friday during the completion timing
The winners will be notified by email and will also be announced via Windows UK Facebook & Twitter. If a potential winner cannot be contacted through no fault of the Promoter or its agents within two (2) days after the first attempt, an alternative winner may be selected at random from the eligible entries. On notification of winning, the winner has two (2) working days to submit any identification or other information reasonably required by Promoter to confirm eligibility. The Promoter will not be liable for any prize(s) that do not reach the Winners for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.

6. PRIZE:

The prizes will have full warranties, should any of them need replacing, this will be the responsibility of the winner. The Prize is not transferable. No cash alternatives are available. Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control. All prize fulfillments will be managed by 3 Monkeys Communications, on behalf of Promoter and will be arranged by direct contact with winner by email following their acceptance of the prize. All winners consent to their surname being made publicly available. Winners’ names will be available for a period of seven (7) months after the final draw date by contacting [EMAIL="windows@3-monkeys.co.uk"]windows@3-monkeys.co.uk[/EMAIL].

7. OTHER: No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Promoter’s decision shall be final. Promoter cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party. Participants in this competition agree that Promoter and all agencies acting on its behalf in conjunction with this competition will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs, damage or disappointment of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize, or from participation in this competition. Nothing in this clause shall limit Promoter’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or arising out of fraud. This competition, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this competition.
