Hi Brassic. I'm afraid I'm no good to you either, I know nothing about bankruptcy, but I wanted to say congrats on the new job (finding a job you like is no mean feat), and also congrats on cooking for 5 on £20 a week! I can't imagine how you do it!

Anyway, good luck, take care and I am sure you will get some good advice from other members

Do you think putting up a new SOA would help?

    Hi Brassic
    It's soul destroying isn't it?
Just as you get to grips with one thing, another rears it's ugly head!
It's a very rocky road, but it's the RIGHT road.
You WILL get there and you're doing all you can to get there, keep at it babe, don't give up now, write down all that you've achieved since your lightbulb moment, you'll be surprised just how far you've come!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Just a suggestion but I'd divide the outgoings into bills etc and debts seperately, as the budget planners suggest. Then you can see how much income you have to service the debts after everything else has been paid.

    Adding *hugs* too

Sorry, meant to add the debts bit - I've got a wonderful spreadsheet set up to do this for me :)

Will add the creditors to the post above to keep it all together....

Current issues which have made things worse have been :

    1) one month without pay.
    2) January and March - full time childcare needed due to training for new job.
    3) February not full pay due to training and lack of shift enhancement.
    4) New Car breaking down.
    5) All our fences breaking down.
    6) Parking ticket (dispute ongoing)
    7) Overpayment of child tax biting us on the bottom
    8) Now the rates demand. :(

Waahhhhhhh. I need a silver lining please.

I have been crying reading your posts. PLease please dont mention suicide. As a mother of three I really don't know how you are coping and I wish there was something I could do for you. How old are your children? The reason I ask is with regard to the nursery and childminder fees. Your new job may come with the additional perk of nursery vouchers- ask them. For instance, you can choose to sacrifice a proportion of your salary to receive it as nursery vouchers instead (therefore, you are only taxed on the remaining amount).

Also, if your children are over 3they may be eligible for 5 free nursery sessions per week.

Have you tried selling stuff on ebay? You would be surprised what people will buy!

If i had spare money (on maternity leave at the mo) I would be setting up a little direct debit for you. Please keep talking to everyone here and remember that this will pass. With pre-school children, life is hectic enough without having to worry about all this too. You have lots of support here. Take care.

Don't know enough about BR to offer any advice, but hang in there, you've obviously been thrugh quite a lot, with a new house/ job and with a family you have a LOT on your plate, sp don't be so hard on yourself, search the Old Fashioned MSE ways for hints and tips, contact Pay Plan or similar and take it from there. Good Luck, Debs.

    Hi there leafton.

You gave me butterflies with what you wrote - it always makes me feel this way when people are so lovely to folks they don't know, and you come across it a lot on these boards. Thank you! :grouphug:

Just to reassure you - the suicide mention was in relation to my job. I'm just starting out a career in the police (as a civillian) and I had some forensics training today. Even if I had considered it as an option I never would again having seen what I did today - I can't imagine how family members must feel finding loved ones in that kinda state :(:(:(

My daughter is 18 months old, and the other two girls are 8 and 6. They are my step daughters but have lived with us full time since the youngest was 18 months. They are my life.

The police force I work for don't do Childcare vouchers, but hubbies work does so he's setting that up now (we used to get them through my previous work). Thanks for thinking of that.

Sadly, nearly everything that can be sold has been. I have a few bits and bobs left which we're planning on getting ready for the w/e, and some books to put on amazon too. Quidco is useful but we're not buying anything atm - and have used up all the free trials. Next on the list is matched betting.

Thanks for the support, you really are lovely folks on here :)

    Brassic.
