Can't afford this months payment

Looking for a little advice please.
I am really struggling for cash this month as my patner is changing from student to employed, no bursary and no income until end of next month so only my income. I am with Skipton and my usual payment is 575. If I phone them and say I can only afford 300, what sort of reception can I expect and what options am I likely to be offered?
Thanks for your help

Suggest that you have your proposal ready on how you intend rectifying the situation.0

Could you arrange an overdraft with you current account provider as a short term measure so that you can meet the mortgage payment?_____________________________________________Mortgage 1 £80k paid off july 2014Mortgage 2 £213k paid off May 20210

You say its only this month that will be the issue.
The best route is to always discuss payment difficulties with your lender way before they before a major issue, as it demonstrates a mature and responsible attitude to your liabilities.
So sit down and plan your finances, and determine at what rate and how you will make up this months shortfall, that means when you speak to your lender, you are able to demonstrate that not only have you been responsible in your handling and realistation of the situation, but that you have already determined a plan of action to rectify the shortfall in payment.
Your lender in that case should be happy to accept your request & repayment schedule (if it is only short term).
Good luck

it seems a realtively small shortfall
is there no way you can make the payment
-overdraft
-use of credit card to fund 'normal' spend
-eat from the freezer/stocks
-family / friends
-delay other spending
without knowing any details of your circumstances it's difficult to more specific0
