My local WHSmith is currently giving out discount cards to get the Mail half-price from next Mon 31st Oct until Sun 27th Nov at selected WHS stores, including their rail station stores.

If it follows the regular pattern, you need to pick up the discount card this week as WHS don't usually give them out once the offer starts.

Hi JAG,

It doesn't state which stores are participating, though it emphasises that it's also valid in rail station stores, which seems to be a new thing. It does list exclusions, which are: Outlet Stores, Online, Books by WHS at Selfridges and Harrods, and all motorway service stations and airports. Barcode is 3558 3547, if that's any help, and you can re-use the discount card.

The cards (A6 size red & yellow leaflet) are kept beside the till and the assistant was handing them out along with whatever you were buying, but you may be able to ask for one without having to buy anything. If a purchase is compulsory, you could just buy a carrier bag (8p locally)!

Hope they'll have these cards in stock at your local WHS.
