Woah weird coincidence!! Hmm maybe I should have been less lazy and gone out hunting inventive ways of opening my soup tin :)

Wow where did that weekend just go?? Can't believe it's Sunday night already.....

So this weekends spending. Not horribly bad I don't think.

    Saturday:
£6.40 - fish & chips for 2 (paid for my friends food as she had got in other supplies for our girly night in :))

    Sunday:
£49.36 - petrol  didn't think my little car could take that much! Oh well its filled up now, should last me a few days of work commuting.

I checked my topcashback account today though and I have £16.12 pending payments back to me :j That's all for shopping that I would have done anyway, and signing up to get free credit reports!! Not too shabby! I told my mum about it and she wasn't convinced, said that it would probably generate a load of spam e-mails. Well, for free money, I'm happy to deal with a couple more e-mails in my inbox....

    I forgot it's payday tomorrow! :j:beer:

So, I checked my bank account and still have ~£400 left of my overdraft. Just transferred £200 to pay off some more of my 2nd Barclaycard - which means that after next month I should have only £116 to pay off that one, woop! I figure I've been treating my overdraft as my money for long enough, I can carry on for a little while longer until I pay off the more expensive debts

Well, today I am officially attempting home made bread for the first time! It's currently rising (proofing?!) and I may attempt to actually cook (bake??) it soon :D

The weekly shop arrived today so the meal plan is in full swing:
Monday - baked cod with green beans, tomatoes and red onion
Tuesday - same (just me these evenings as OH in work, so leftovers will do!)
    Wednesday - herbed roast pork
Thursday - Pork, apple and celeriac hash
Friday - parmesan and oat crusted chicken

On the money front, got paid today which is good, but bills etc. don't go out for a few days so waiting til then to sort out debt payments and current 'debt total'. Which hopefully will be less than it was last month :P Spent a grand total of £3 which isn't too bad, had to buy lunch due to shopping not arriving til lunchtime! Got soup enough to last for a while though and (hopefully) HM rolls :)

Updated my current debt today, pleased that I have managed to cut over £350 off in one month! And that doesn't include a couple of minimum payments or the snowball overpayment on my credit cards as they won't go out for a few days. It will settle down after this month though....

NSD today! My first one of this diary so far, and a good way to start a new month I think :) My rolls were a relative success, although a bit denser than I expected/would have liked... not sure what I'm going to do with my leftover dough :/

Well things are going pretty well this week, another NSD yesterday! :j Could have one today too if I don't do anything tonight....

Not much to report on the debt-busting front, apart from sticking to my budget and stuff. I applied for a new job in work yesterday, application forms drive me nuts! Despite what this diary may suggest I actually hate waffling on about myself haha :) Anyway, the job will only work out if I pass my professional qualifications which I'll hear back about in December. Eek that's next month!

  • Just checking in with 3 NSD's in a row :j:D I don't think that's ever happened before! Still well within the food budget for the month, and only just over halfway of this weeks budget with 3 days to go (and still food in the freezer/cupboards).

I swear me and OH must eat massive portions compared to meal plans though - they never seem to make quite enough! Mind you I've been doubling recipes this week because the OH put all the meat in the freezer without checking dates or splitting it up into meal sized portions  I couldn't separate the bigger packs after they froze! No idea why he insists on freezing everything immediately... men!

The bank account is looking fairly healthy, got some expenses paid in a couple of days ago, and some more to go in early next week. I filled up the tank on Saturday with about £50 and am still at over half a tank, with £62 worth of petrol expenses coming my way :j My job has a lot of down sides sometimes and I've suffered with crappy pay for many years so I take full advantage of the expenses I'm entitled to!!

  • Hrm not such a good DFW day yesterday, the lure of the Friday night takeaway was just too much..... Managed to spend £16.95 on chinese food, beer and assorted snacks and terribly unhealthy things.... oh well! I'm not too concerned about it, even with this my grocery spends are under budget. Will be meal planning later for next week and possible a trip to Costco to see if there are any bargains too.
