Very strange that 2 days before the competition results are due I get an email using the details I sent on the free entry inviting a reduced membership fee -- presume I have not won anything then but perhaps I am just a sceptic.

But got the same email...so think ure still in it to win it...Ive had one of these but everywhere i tried to use it, it was refused even though it obviously says the companies name on it

That's strange, did you book ahead? I didn't have a problem but only used it once when I had a one month trial. I used it to take my fianc! out for a meal for his birthday. I looked up the restaurants that accepted it on their website, picked one and mentioned I was a tastecard holder when I rang the restaurant to book and again when we arrived.

Got my one month free trial card today. Have been looking at the website at participating restaurants in my area (outside London). We normally only eat out on special occasions and then as an entire family at weekends so I'm disappointed to see that all the restaurants in striking distance for us a mostly limit the use to a max of 2 people per booking and then not on Fridays or Saturdays.

Glad I didn't pay for one.
