Well I've won.....

.....something, apparently.

Missus just phoned to ask what competitions I've entered online.

'Hundreds' I think.

Somebody called in regards to one and asked to speak to me.
As I am at work, the missus explained and offered my mobile number.

The caller said they didn't want to disturb me at work,
so they are calling back around noon tomorrow (as I have the day off.)

I wonder what it could be?????

It's either 'something small' so caller feels it's not worth disturbing me.
Or 'something big' so caller doesn't want me to have a heart attack at work.
Or a scammer.

We'll find out tomorrow!!!!!

Anybody won that boat yet that was posted on here before Christmas? lol

Must be something I like as anything girlie and I put the missus' name in.....

    Hey congratulations.

Let us know what it is - could be something big if they are ringing up and just wanting to speak to you

  • Thinking (or rather, hoping!) that you could be right.

A couple of times I've won something small, I've either had an email or it simply turned up in the post with a letter.

OMG - I wish I knew who called and what comp's I entered.....

    Hey there,

I don't want to put a dampner on things, but I got a call too around 13:45 this afternoon. I wasn't in so my partner took a name and number and a message, apparantly I entered a comp on a site called 2minutedraw.com (hope I'm not breaking rules by placing the link). My other half called me passed on his number. Obviously I eagerly called back the number as after looking at the site to refresh my memory they seem to offer £2k of gift vouchers for the draw winner on the 15th of the month (jeez I thought £2k in vouchers, shopping spree here I come) as stated I called the number, but it was non-existant, Now either my other half took down the number wrong, or it was some kind of 'promotional 2nd prize) I did a search for the company Premier Data Logistics (PDL) and found they were the promotors of the draw, along with other sites like !!!!!!....I found a contact number for 2in4now, and a lady there informed me that it would likely to be offering me a 'promotional holiday' as long as I sat listening to a time share seminar.

I also found a website for PDL, but that is 'under construction' and has been since April according to http://www.archive.org/index.php

I do hope I am wrong and that I have in fact won £2k in vouchers and FleetFantastic has won something 'fantastic'

I just thought I'd post this.
  • That's the sort of thing I'm worried about.

I'll let you all know if it is them attempting a scam.

The number my other half took down was an 0208 London number...fingers crossed...good luck
  • Was that by using 1471 as our one said number withheld?

I got a call last week offering me 12 months free line rental. Apparently I entered a competition online, which I didn't win.. but they were offering me this phone package instead. *eye roll*

I got one a couple of days ago saying I'd "won" a holiday for 6 people wherever I wanted but then asked for a booking fee of £199.

Hope the OP's win is something good though. Dying to hear what it is.
