We are married!

Hello ladies and gents!

This is the first time I've managed to get on here with enough time to type a post and attach a link to photo (that I hope works!).

We got married at St Pauls Chapel, Lindos, Rhodes on 12th September and it was the best day and night I've ever had!

The sun shone (as you would expect in Greece!) but wasn't too hot on the day. Food and wine and champagne flowed nicely! The free bar was well used but not AB-used (see another thread ), and the hotel we were staying in, had a 24hr bar - so a hardcore of about 12 of us partied until 9AM!!!! :eek:

Everything flew by far too fast and I am soooooo glad we had it all videod/DVDd/recorded (whatever the phrase is)!

Thank you all very much! x I wanted to do it all again, once I'd got over my hangover, but my mean husband wouldn't let me!

Fawny, Lindos was hotter than normal while we were there - how did you cope with the heat? Luckily our wedding was 5.45PM so bit a breeze and cooler.

Yes it was hotter this year than normal, we noticed as soon as we arrived & all the locals were saying it was still like August. We didn't find it too bad as we don't mind the heat & did get a bit of a breeze. We went to the chapel one day & there was a wedding party arriving & it was about 1pm & all the men were in black suits & looked like they were dying:eek:
We are going to be getting the white parasols for the ladies so hopefully that will help.

Ooops! I misread your signature - thought it said 2011 and you had already got married!

Black suits - bad idea at that time of the day! We didn't ask for umbrellas or parasols in advance, but the organiser provided them anyway.

We had our reception at Odyssey (or Odyssia) restaurant, as that is our favourite, and it was fab. There are some pics of the layout (ETA: I've added them since this!). It wasn't ideal as 11 people were sat on 1 table slightly lower than the rest of the party, but we couldn't do it any other way. If you go there at all, tell Dimitri (head honcho) that Rick and Jo sent you!
