Well what a con... Duvel - a Belgium beer used to be 1.86 a bottle ( give or take a penny..) last week it had a price drop sign and was 1.76 (ish) a bottle. Now it is an expensive beer but I was surprised they had done a price drop as I don't imagine it is a huge seller. However tonight the price has gone up to £1.99 !!! how did that happen..? drop the price by 10p for a week and then put it up by 14p more than it was the week before... ??!! Do they think we are all stupid?
*just checked online and it shows as £1.73 price dropped from £1.82 meaning the instore rise is actually 18p - 10% ! How come it is cheaper on line?0 -
At 8.15am a couple of days ago, I bought a large tiger bloomer loaf for 60p.:j0

Why are there so many people surprised by Tesco's conning tactics? Like all supermarkets(only more often), they have been introducing stealth price increases for years.0

Duvel up to 2 months ago was £1.28 a bottle with pricing stickers saying £1.29 in ADSA/Sainsburys :money:
Bottles of real ales/beers etc selling for almost £2 each come in boxes of 8 with a RRP of £8 (they were stacked in Lidl). If £1 each is RRP every little helps :rotfl:0 -
The less customers buy the more the prices go up to mainatin profit.
It needs a massive switch away to a competitor or for people to 'give up' alcohol, fags, and rubbish food etc. Why for heavens sake are their ten different kinds of everything.0 -
tesco`s is a rip off, most people with any sense shop at asda :j
even they are dear on some stuff eg,
asda`s leeks have been £1.80 all year, so i get them from aldi £1
now at the end of the season asda`s have gone down to a pound finally
 knowing my luck lidl probably have them for 59p or something...however,
i am lucky i have all the major stores within a mile or two,
and i have all the time in the world to shop around, :T
some of the fruit and vegetables in supermarkets are bought by managers on computers i personally would not feed it to a pig,
i have respect for pigs,
bye bye0 -
The only thing that was cheaper on my last shop was DH's indigestion tablets, everything else seems to have gone upMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
