Wedding i've just found out

I have just found out that my sister who I have not been very close to over the last few years, although at family occasions have been normal, is getting married and I'm not invited. She has one child, who was page boy at my wedding, and who both attended my engagement party and wedding 18 months ago. I have found out by accident that it is happening within the next few weeks local to where I live. Obviously they want to keep it a low key affair although as I am the only other one who should be included with my daughter and husband should I feel pushed out?? answers would be appreciated

  • Ah that's sad, you need to ask your sister why though she's the only one with the answers, you can just say your hurt your not included in their special day, if its down to money issues you can offer to pay for your selves, i how you get your answers x
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Not everyone feels that a big wedding is what they want.

Hope you aren't planning on your sister reading this, as you've posted it on the board where you found out her secret. Seems a bit mean, IMO.

Not only that, JoJo, the OP has also posted on the Families board where she's getting a lot of opinions that she doesn't like:

Might as well - the OP, having been told what a selfish mare she's been, has had a sissy fit, taken her ball and gone home running to mummy to say that the nasty MSEr's are being mean to her.

I actually meant so that the sister (who may be blissfully unaware of the drama going on over 5 pages on the Marriages board about her wedding) doesn't read this and gets upset.

I'm not particularly bothered about the OP's views about being invited (or not as the case is here) but about spoiling the sister's run-up to her big day.

Unfortunately, she has actually posted on what she believes is her sister's thread. I don't think your linkie is going to make a difference.

I don't see how the only other thread she's posted on (other than these 2 titled the same on separate boards plus one asking for advice) can be her sister's.

    It says on there that
I have no contact with my father and sporadic contact with my mother - invited her to my first wedding and she refused to come. So no family on my side at all I'm afraid.

so it really doesn't sound like the right thread.
  • the op on that thread isn't her sister, it's another poster. if you read the details on the families board the op has provided it matches one of the posters. I don't want to make it too obvious in case the op's sister sees
