I have 2 TSB credit cards debts, which are being paid via Global Debt Recovery. On Friday, I received 2 letters from them telling me that Global had assigned the rights to the accounts to FV-1, inc. on 22nd December.
However, FV-1 have apparently appointed Global as administers of the account and are now looking for full payment, or repayment terms. I'm assuming this is just a cover to try and get me to pay more than I already do. Its been a fair cop, and I do owe the debts so I've no problem in paying up.
1 account was only for £1.17 (I had been paying £6/month towards this account - I've since cleared that off, so now it doesn't exist! Yay! :T )
The other is for £163.28, to which I had been paying £6/month also, although I intend to 'snowball' the now-cleared £6 onto the remaining £6 and pay the debt off quicker!
However, both letters still retain the ref. numbers of the original accounts with Global prior to this 're-assignation' of the accounts?
So, i was wondering if this is indeed just some ploy to try and get more dough out of me...? I've never heard of FV-1 and it seems, neither has Google in terms of debt recovery. Hmm...

Ok, interms of the DCA, I suggest you give the FSA a ring and see if they have ever heard of them. I havent either in all fairness

I wonder whether it might be a better idea to propose your changed payments to lloyds tsb direct? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
