Course i will ,I don't think I am going to be a fan of this if it is anything like the dailies thread and once they go in they arn't bumped on the main board each day and many miss out cos they can't get on with it ,but hey ho i suppose everyone can't be pleased and those who are good with computers and use too things like this will be at an advantage.I'm afraid I will not be going out of my way though to make any adjustments to my posts for them to go in here if I think they are not going to be available for all each day,as many are that get put in dailies and then not bumped on the main board for those who can't use dailies. I do understand this must have been debated and this was probably the best solution,it just doesn't seem to be fair to me and i'm not willing to help anything that i don't see as fair sorry.

let me reassure you nothing goes 'in' there as you put it
the advent & daily thread are purely a post providing a link back to the actual comp on the main board like this one itself, there is no bumping in the daily thread each time this comp would change, that will always be done here, i think what lidz31 meant was that with it being linked to dailies, those that do them will notice it sooner by looking on that thread and then would come here to bump this post with any update needed

Comps shouldn't really be disappearing once a link has been added to the Dailies Thread. Adding a link there shouldn't really have any effect at all on the competition thread. The Dailies Thread is meant to just be a list of links to competition threads on the main board. This list is compiled so that people who enter competitions by end date have easy access to a list of the threads that they may wish to visit earlier than the end date, and also as a list for people to go through each day to work methodically through all the competition threads which are daily.

Personally I don't use the Dailies Thread as I've never really got to grips with it and am always too far behind. If I happen to come across a daily competition thread I bookmark it (and then usually forget to check my bookmarks each day anyway).

The same should be true of any Advent competitions. They will all be posted as separate threads which can be bumped each day with the current day's prize and answer. There will just be a list of links to all these different threads. A good example of the dailies is the Runners World one. It is on the main board and bumped each day with the prize and answer (and so that you have a new post each day to track your entries), but there is also a link to this thread in the Dailies Thread.

Please don't think that by adding a link in the Dailies Thread or Advent Thread that anything will change to the actual competition thread that you post or the way it operates, as it shouldn't do, and shouldn't be making anything unfair on anyone. As I said, i don't really use the Dailies Thread so maybe I've missed the ones you think might have been lost to the Dailies as it were. Massive thanks for all your competition posts!!:)

I'm not sure you understand what I was trying to say ,what I mean is that if a comp was not put into dailies or as is coming Advent ,then they would be bumped daily on the main board ,but once they go into dailies then ,unless we bookmark (which being a complete technophobe I do not have a clue about) or somehow remember ,they are lost unless we can navigate the dailies or advent thread .For an example I have just seen the Nescafe go daily ,I had completely forgot about that comp until it was bumped on the main board tonight ,i'm sure many who do not use dailies had also and I know there are other comps ,also what about the newbies ? If they don't know about dailies etc how ,for instance would they know for example about the Anchor comp? Never bumped on the main board ! how can this be fair to all ?
