Sainsbury's Till Issue Money Off Vouchers

Hi all.
Quick question. When I've done my shop at Sainsbury's I'm regularly issued with a money off next shop voucher (e.g. £2 of £20 shop) with a use-by date. I think this is when I get the points added to my nectar card.
I'm wondering what the criteria is to get these? The other day I think I didn't even spend £10 and got a £2 off £20 voucher.
I'm asking as if I have a £30 shop, if it is a £10 spend to get the voucher, I'd rather buy £10 of stuff, get the voucher, then spend £20 and get the £2 off. If there's no minimum, even better!
Cheers.

I don't think there is a critera as much as the more you spend the more they want you to spend. If you spend £5 to £10 (as I regularly do) on a shop your likely to get a "spend £20" or "spend £30" voucher (though mine just normally offer triple points or 80 points on a £30 spend rather then 10% off.)
My mother however shops once a month or few weeks and easily walks away with a bill close to or just over £100. For this she gets a voucher of something like "spend £80 get 80 points" or similar.
IMO just keep your bill low, don't hold out for these they rarely make much of a dent.0 -
Thanks Jennie.
The issue is I do keep the bill low and not buy unneccessarily. Because of this I often shop, get this voucher, then never use it as the deadline passess by the time I do need to shop again. If I can grab a couple of bits I need, grab the voucher, then buy the rest I need I can take advantage of this even if it is only £2. Really depends on the minimum spend if it would be worth trying.0 -
Also, dont forget that Tescos accept these as competitors spend and save vouchers. I very rarely go into sainsburys , last time I just bought some envelopes that were £1, and it gave me a £2 off £20. I used that on my next Tesco shop

Hi
Thenks for bringing up this post.
I used to pop to sainsburys and buy someting small even 20p or so, or anything I need. Even for such small ammount I will get a voucher for 2 of 20 or 4 of 40 spend.
It seemes to happen onece per week only and I am not shure about from when they reset a week but I looks like it is on Mondays -as for me at least.
I will get the voucher and usualy combine it with Tesco's money off voucher to get a nice discount without any problem.0 -
I know that our Sainsbury's at Stevenage change the shelf offers on a Wednesday so they might use the same day for changing voucher offers.0

Thanks all. Seems there is no minimum. Will give it a go next time I shop.0
