looby75, yep will be fine reheated - now that we know it will be refrigerated, before coming home.
Might need a bit more liquid, just a splash of water or milk to make it less sticky, reheat in microwave, or covered in oven.0 -
Something else to consider with cheese, is using halloumi - you can slice it & grill or fry - stays in a solid piece, and tastes wonderful. Serve with crusty bread, olives, lemon juice squirted over lettuce, tomatoes & spring onions.0

Why not just a cheese sandwich served with a yoghurt? That would get her a great mark these days - no cooking required in Food Tech lessons after all, just assembling and drawing a box to sell it in. Then repeat several times for the next few weeks.
(sorry I'm an ex Food teacher who packed it in because I was so disheartened by the subject - *A at GCSE and only having to cook four times finished me off I'm afraid though it does sound better at your daughters school)Love living in a village in the country side0 -

:eek: that is awful!!!!!!!!!!!!! no wonder ready meals line the shelves at supermarkets - since it became a part of design technology and not subject in its own right???
i often reheat tuna pasta and it might be a bit drier but still tasty - dh takes it to work to reheat too0 -
Could she make the cheese sauce, cook the pasta, assemble the meal at school and then cook the tuna pasta at home? I often make dinner the night before and then reheat for when the kids get home from school and I have done this with tuna pasta; it can dry out a bit but other than that, if you put it on a lowish heat or microwave it, it should be fine.That's Numberwang!0

in my wellies :eek: no wonder you gave up teaching cooking, I think I would have too if that's all you got to teach
DD's school is quite good, the stuff they cook is pretty basic but it all has to be done from scratch and I suppose that's the best way to learn.
morganb, that's a good idea but they have to cook it so it's a finished meal, the teacher usually has a little taste to help with marking. Not a job I envy lol0 -
dd's cookery lesson went well and we had the tuna pasta bake for tea, she did a very good job imo
She has to pick something else to cook, again using yogurt or cheese again next week :rolleyes: Talk about the teachers getting the parents to do their job for them!

Sorry I cheated a bit with this one, but it does use cheese and yoghurt and sounds yummy! If you don't like that recipe, you can always type in yoghurt and cheese into the recipe finder (loads came up when I did that).

nutty cheese bake
175g mixed nuts finely chopped
225g cheshire cheese
4 lg tomatoes skinned and chopped
3 eggs
freshly gorund sea salt and pepper
30 ml chopped fresh parsley
put nuts in a bowl crumble in the cheese and mix in the tomatoes. Beat the eggs with the seasoning and parsley and stir into the nut mixture. grease an ovenprrof dish and pour in the mixture. Bake in the oven at 200c mark 6 for 30 mins.
Aunty Janests yogurt cake all measures are the yogurt carton
1 carton of natrual yogurt
1 veg oil
2 sugar
3 sr flour
3 eggs mix all ingredients put into 2 1lb loaf tins and bake on gas 4 about 30 minsAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
