My son loves play mobil - they do all sorts and its lasts for ever ( my elder one is 10 and still plays with his play mobil Knights castle).
  • ;) I hope this may give you an idea.

Well my son was 5 when he first bought him some Magnetix, argos seen to have the best deals.. we started off with a set of 275 peices to see if he played with them a lot or not, as the case may of been.

But, he doesnt stop playing with it. His dad (the bigger kid) loves it too :) If fact my 9 year old daughter also wants her own magnetix but in pastel colours !!

Lots to make, and plenty of sets can be added over time to make bigger and better models. Keep a eye out in argos, cos when this are on offer they are at a bargain price, and sell out quick. Last argos sale I managed to get 2 sets for just £37 + as I bought 2 sets I also got a smaller set free. Normally cost would of been £96!!

Warning though, he must know never to let them near the tv as the magnet is not good for tv screens. - I work in a insurance claims office, and we have had a few of these claims. My son has been told, and this hasnt been a problem.

Also, Comet did have the Roboraptor at £19.99 a while back, in the Colchester store we could order it in at that price, as they had none in store at the time.. Just a thought.

Im sure what ever you buy he'll be pleased though :)
    regards

  • If you can find one (don't know where it was bought from) someone bought my son a swingball football - kick it as hard as you like and it's on elastic. It's great!!
It's by the same people who make the original 'Swingball'. It was definately the most used pressie he got last birthday.

Buy him an xbox 360 or a Wii - can't get better than that

Another vote for Lego - especially while their online sale is still on:

Thanks so much for all the idea's. I'll see if I can find a swingball - although he has an older sister and it might get messy. Colouring bits - you can never have enough. If anyone has anymore idea's I would be grateful.
    Thanks Wendyh:T :j
