  • I got mine from Matalan - good price and water-tight, I also use Chinese take-away containers (I know not very old style) to freeze extra portions as I think they stack really well in the freezer.

A quick question about Lock&Lock containers. I've got a few, mostly used for storing food in the fridge, and sending the kids' butties to school in. When you wash the containers do you take the seal out and wash that as well? I've left the seal in a couple of times and I can see water around the seal, even when the lid is dry. Thinking about bacteria breeding etc...

Just had a look at one of my Lock'n'Lock containers. The seal seems firmly fixed in to me! It never occurred to me to try to remove it.
