Youngs frozen basa fillets £1.25 from £5 in Tesco

These are a regular buy for me when on offer. Been to my local Tesco Extra and these were reduced ( not yellow labelled) from £5 to £1.25 for a pack of 4 basa fillets

I bought a pack of these last year becasue I was on a grab-and-run shop and mis-read the packaging - thought it said 'Bass' fillets:D Anyway, as I am not one for waste I tried it and it tasted little better than a riverbed - the meat was a grey colour and it was fairly vile even when covered in cheese! Maybe I had a bad pack but haven't tried it since :-/

The cheapest White fish that I've found is Sainsbury Qty 6 for £2.(33p each) Total weight 520g (£3.80kg)
Tis either Cod or Coley. Tastes OK.0 -

basa is from the catfish family very popular in the florida area and if you buy the youngs fillets get cracked black pepper or lemon flavour very nice0
