I found an idea in a wedding magazine and it really fits our theme (kinda vintage-y, lots of lace and bows, plus dark purple).
Here is what I came up with:
I am so pleased with it and I'm not crafty at all! But has inspired me to have a go at a few more things!

I trimmed my placecards with gold lace down one side. Its so easy and really made the tables look 'polished'. Naturally I love the lacy bits on yours!!0

Exactly! I can't believe how easy (and cheap) it was to make a plain piece of ivory card look a bit more interesting!
It cost 1.50 for 50 placecards, 50p per metre of the lace trim and 99p for all the bows I need for these - bargain!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14
