Hi everyone, I have followed this site for several months, finding it very helpful, so helpful in fact, I am pleased to report that I have paid off over half of our debts in 18 months still got a long way to go but in the right direction.
My problem is I discovered recently that I have a ccj against my name even though I paid the debt within the 28 days, so my question is how do I get this removed do I write to next or Lewis debt collection who were chasing the debt to see if they will provide a letter for me to get this removed?
Many thanks

Have you got proof that you paid in full?
If so, then you just provide that proof to the court and they should have it removed from the register.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I paid by cheque so I am going through my account statements to find this at the moment. Should I contact the company as well. Thanks0

If you have proof that you paid it in full then that may well be OK for the court.
I would get in touch with the court to see if that will be enough on it's own?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
