I saw this website advertised in a magazine and had a quick look.
It seems quite good!

oooooooo can you freeze mincemeat, then? I've bought 2 jars of ES mincemeat and then found it was BB Sept 2008 and I wanted it for Christmas.
Could I just put it into plastic tubs and then into freezer?
I would keep it in the jars unopened - it'll easily last for Christmas.....unless eaten of course0 -
cany you freeze double cream
you can freeze double and whipping cream because of the fat content. I sometimes whip it if I know that's how I'm going to use it but usually I just keep it in the carton but it does sometimes go a bit watery on thawing. However, a light whip then usually sorts it out. If you'll be cooking it, you don't need to whip it0 -
We had the ultimate leftover dinner last night. I emptied the fridge of all the bowls of leftover bits of previous dinners, as it was beginning to look like a tin foil factory in there. There was a portion of kedgeree made with reduced trout fillets, a portion of tomato and black olive pasta and some butternut squash and sweet potato which was meant for the little 'un.
Anyway all this got mashed together with a packet of bread sauce mix and then stuff in the oven in a loaf tin. I serve this leftover 'meatloaf' with onion gravy all over it, trying to disguise its origins, and cauliflower cheese, OH wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but he did clear his plate and I thought it was quite tasty even though a bit sweet.
Although the cupboards, fridge and freezer are almost bare I'm trying to avoid going to the supermarket today, so I'm going to knock up a batch of pizza dough and try and resurect some salami from the fridge.0 -
Manky carrots, parsnips & peppers were cunningly disguised as spag bag sauce yesterday, & surprisingly it was one of the best tasting sauces I've ever made. I did suddenly think about 15mins into cooking, that the parsnip flavour might be a bit noticable, but it was very dlish even if I say so meself:pFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Had to throw some milk away as it turned and guess who put it over there cereal and now is at home because they feel queasy
And last night had to throw away a piece of white fish as it was not cooked by the time tea was served up.
I know I should have put it back in the oven but was not sure what to do with after that.
Just had two pieces of toast was suppose to be my lunch but of course I came home before that.

Had to chuck a small amount of local yummy coleslaw which went a bit gooey and don't want to take any risks with it! Estimate value is about 15p at the very most, so added this on to running total. Not thrown anything else and making good use of what we can find lurking around lol.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Can you make scones with skimmed milk?
I have lots to use up, and am going to make a fish pie with stuff from the freezer and that'll get rid of a pint. But I have even more, and if the oven is on anyway, perhaps I could make scones.......0 -

You can make scones with ANY milk, I even use the whey that drains from my home made yogurt.
Enjoy your scones!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
