Dark rum is real rum

Grapefruit Jamaican Style: (serves 2)
Cut a grapefruit in half across the diameter
Sprinkle with Demerara sugar
Pour on a tiny amount of dark rum
Grill for a couple of minutes
Enjoy for breakfast!

Rum butter instead of brandy butter for Xmas pud. Also rum sauce. In fact any alcohol related Xmas cooking you can use rum instead of brandy/sherry/etc.
I was going to say rum sauce too. It's a Christmas tradition in my family and my mum's rum sauce is the stuff of legends ... or at least it would be if anyone could remember eating it lol.0
